Base Class: Barbarian
Ever wanted to play Barbarian, but not liked the flavor? Today is your day. This barbarian goes into a calm state during the “rage”. And, hey, if you like this subclass but like the barbarian flavor, just call it “improved rage”.
Tranquil Rage
At 3rd level, when you rage, it’s almost like time slows down and you can pinpoint everything. You gain the following effects while raging:
- You can add half your Intelligence modifier, rounded down, to your attack rolls while raging (minimum of 1). You still add your Strength modifier to attack rolls.
- You can add your Wisdom modifier to your armor class (minimum of 1).
Serene Practices
At 6th level, you can teach a companion how to be serene while battling. You can spend 1 hour teaching a willing creature. That creature can go into a rage as a tranquil rage until it finishes a short or long rest.
Half-Tranquility
At 10th level, you can spend time meditating while you take a rest. When you finish a short or long rest, choose one effect each from the rage and tranquil rage perks. You can use those effects without raging. You can use these until you finish another short or long rest.
True Tranquility
At 14th level, your serenity while raging grows unparalleled. You gain the following effects while raging:
- You cannot be charmed or frightened while raging.
- You are resistant to all psychic damage while raging.
- You gain advantage on all damage rolls.
