Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

You have studied the ancient ritual for summoning a beastial spirit. As your powers grow, your mastery of the ritual grows as well, strengthening the beastial spirit.

Beast Ritual

As an action, you can cast the Summon Beast spell as a ritual with no concentration.  Replace spell level in the wording of the spell with PB.  You can cast the spell as normal with the appropriate spells slot.

The beast remains until it is reduced to 0 hit points, until you use this feature to summon a beast again, or until you die. Anything the beast was wearing or carrying is left behind when the beast vanishes.

Once you summon the beast, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher to summon it.

Enhanced Ritual

Your beast ritual intensifies.

While your beast is summoned, you and the beast gain the following benefits:

Beast Mount. The beast grows to Medium size. You can use the beast as a mount if your size is Medium or smaller. When you're riding your beast, it can’t use the flying speed of an aerial beast.

Magic Maul. The beast’s maul attack deals an extra 1d6 damage and is considered magical.

Strengthen Ritual

Your PB plus 2 for the purpose of the stats in your ritual spell of Summon Beast.

Perfected Ritual

Large Beast. The beast summoned grows to large size and if Air type is chosen can be ridden as a mount with fly speed.

Reflexive Defense Bond. As a reaction if your beast takes damage you can make a weapon attack against the attacker if with in range.  As a reaction if you take damage the beast can make a maul attack against the attacker if with in range.
