Trained in the use if magic, combat, and stealth, this mage is more deadly than one would think.

Training in War and Shadow

2nd-level Arcane Assassin feature

gain proficiency with light and medium armor, as well as shields, proficiency in martial and simple weapons.

You also gain proficiency in the Stealth skill if you don’t already have it.

You gain the Rouge's Sneak Attack and Cunning Action, with the option to use Sneak attack if the enemy is under the effects of a spell or was hit with one before the attack.

It turns your hit die to a 1d8.

Shadow cover

2nd-level Arcane Assassin feature

You can invoke a magic called the Shadow Cover, provided that you aren’t wearing heavy armor. It graces you with supernatural speed, agility, and focus.

You can use a bonus action to start the Shadow Cover, which lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you don heavy armor. You can also dismiss the Shadow Cover at any time (no action required).

While your Shadow Cover is active, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).
  • Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
  • You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
  • You gain a bonus to any Constitution saving throw you make to maintain your concentration on a spell. The bonus equals your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).
  • You are invisible.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Arcane Attack

6th-level Arcane Assassin feature

You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.

Cover of Defense

10th-level Arcane Assassin feature

You can direct your magic to absorb damage while your Shadow is active. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend one spell slot and reduce that damage to you by an amount equal to five times the spell slot’s level.

As long as you are in darkness, magical or natural, you cannot be seen by other creatures unless they have blindsight, tremor sense, true sight, or magical darkvison. If they lack any of these, and you count as invisible. You also gain a darkvison up to 60 ft that can pierce magical darkness.

Cover of Death

14th-level Arcane Assassin feature

You can add your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1) to the damage of your melee weapon attacks while your Shadow Cover is active.

You may make yourself invisible at will, it still ends if you take an action, but you can recast it as a bonus action.
