From birth these monks are trained to manifest their ki as lightning,  using it to empower their strikes and speed to superhuman levels.  The fighting style used by these monks is reminiscent of boxing  or muay thai , using short fast movements infused with lightning to evade and close in on their opponent while using swift, powerful strikes the wear down the opponents.  

Body of the Lightning God

3rd-level Way of the Lightning God feature

Your mastery of your Lightning ki allows you to manifest it to empower your body, bringing your body to the physical limits a humanoid can reach. 

• Quickened Strikes: Using your lightning ki you enhance the speed at which you can strike, increasing your flurry of blows to 3 attacks
• Thunder Guard: Using your lightning ki you enhance your reaction time to its upper limits, when you use patient defense you may increase your ac by 2 until the beginning of your next turn.
• Lightning Footwork: Using your lightning ki you enhance your agility to the point were you move like lightning its self,  When you use step of wind to dash you are unaffected by attacks of opportunity. 
• Storming Cross Counter:  Using your enhanced reflexes allow you to respond to a opponents error in the blink of a eye.  When a opponent within 5ft of you makes a attack and misses you, you may spend 1 ki point  and use your reaction to make a unarmed strike against the opponent.

Mantle of the Lightning God

6th-level Way of the Lightning God feature

As a bonus action you may spend 2 ki points to manifest your ki as a mantle, surrounding yourself in lightning and granting you multiple effects while active for 10 minutes.

• The number of reactions you can take is increased to 3
• You gain advantage on dexterity saving throw
• Your speed increases by 10 ft.
• While using Lightning Footwork you gain a fly speed until the end of your turn

True Mantle of the Lightning God

11th-level Way of the Lightning God feature

Your continued training has taken you to a level of mastery seen by few, allowing you to spend 3 ki points bring out the true form of the mantle.  The form of the mantle solidifies in to whatever form you wish(armor, monks robes, etc).  This Mantle has all the abilities of the original these improvement and added techniques. These Techniques are only available while the True Mantle is active.

• You gain resistance to lightning & Thunder damage
• Grants +2 ac
• Raging Storm: Once per turn when you hit with at least 4 unarmed strikes, you may make 1 additional unarmed strike at the end of your flurry of blows.
• Ki Charged Strikes:  Using ki to reinforce your strikes now allows you to add your wisdom modifier to all your attacks.

 

Heart of the Storm

17th-level Way of the Lightning God feature

Storm Surge:  Lightning ki now suffuses every part of you, you may spend 5 ki points as part of your attack action.  If you do so, Lightning surges from your fists building up with every strike.  At the end of the turn you activate this ability, your opponent and enemies with 10ft within of that creature make a dex save based off your ki save.  If they fail the save they take 1d10 lightning damage for every unarmed strike that landed this turn or on a success they take half.  Damage dealt this way reduces resistance to lightning damage.
