Base Class: Monk
You have trained for years to master and invoke the powers of your soul through rigorous physical and mental training, and it has increased both your physical prowess and mental prowess, and you can now fight using the fury of your soul, which empowers you. Burning Soul monks usually live near volcanoes or places where they can meditate to learn how to resist and master outside and inside heat.
Invoke Spirit
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your martial training lets you bring forth your soul when you strike, through your mastery of ki. When you hit with an unarmed strike, you can expend 1 ki to activate one of the following effects:
- Burning Soul. The unarmed strike deals fire damage, and you roll one additional martial arts die when determining the damage of this attack.
- Draining Soul. The unarmed strike deals necrotic damage, and you gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier plus half of your monk level (rounded up).
- Warding Soul. The unarmed strike deals radiant damage, and the target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed saving throw, the target is moved a number of feet equal to your monk level (rounded up) away from you in a straight line.
Inner Fire
At 6th level, you can form your soul into powerful blasts. you can spend 3 ki points to cast the 2nd level spell scorching ray as an action. Each ray deals your choice of fire, radiant, or necrotic damage.
You can spend additional ki points to cast scorching ray at a higher level. Each additional ki point you spend increases the spell's level by 1. The maximum number of ki points (3 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half your monk level (rounded down).
Spiritual Body
At 11th level, you can spend 6 ki points to empower your body with your inner fire. Lasts for one minute, and you heat up and now resist the damage type of your choice between radiant, fire, and necrotic, all of your unarmed strikes for the duration cause 1d8 damage of that type and you glow a bright red, casting dim light in a ten-foot radius around your body
Invoke Soul
By 17th level, your mastery of souls is more mighty than it used to be. When you use Invoke Spirit, you may activate two effects at once instead of just one, for 1 ki point. You choose which of the two you use for the damage type of the unarmed strike. you can choose which one you use for each of your unarmed attacks on that turn
