Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Gods of trickery – such as Tymora, Beshaba, Olidammara, the Traveler, Garl Glittergold, and Loki – are mischief-makers and instigators who stand as a constant challenge to the accepted order among both gods and mortals. They’re patrons of thieves, scoundrels, gamblers, rebels, liberators and occasionally. Sometimes they choose a champion to help spread their goals of chaos into this world… because rogues shouldn’t have all the fun.

More Than a Pretty Face

At third level you gain proficiency in Deception and Persuasion if you do not have them already

Oath of Trickery Spells

A Trickery paladin loses previously gained oath spells and instead gains the following Trickery spells at the paladin levels listed.

Paladin Level Spells
3rd charm person, disguise self
5th pass without trace, invisibility
9th blink, counterspell
13th dimension door, greater invisibility
17th [Tooltip Not Found], dominate person

Channel Divinity

A Trickery paladin of 3rd level or higher gains the following two Channel Divinity options.

Silent Step: As an action you can cloak yourself in shadow obscuring yourself from others. For one hour you have a +10 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks and can’t be tracked except by magical means. You leave behind no tracks or other traces of your passage.

Invoke Duplicity. As an action, you create a perfect illusion of yourself that lasts for 1 minute or until you lose concentration. The illusion appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within 30 feet of you. On your turn, you can mentally command your duplicate to move up to 30 feet to a space you can see, but it must remain within 120 feet of you (no action required).

For the duration, you can cast spells as though you were in the illusion's space, but you must use your own senses. Additionally, when both you and your illusion are within 5 feet of a creature that can see the illusion, you have advantage on attack rolls against that creature, given how distracting the illusion is to the target.

While your duplicate is active, whenever you take damage, you must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC equals 10 or half the damage you take, whichever number is higher. On a failed safe, the duplicate vanishes. If you have the War Caster Feat, you make this Constitution saving throw with advantage.

Trickster's Escape

Starting at 7th level, you gain the ability to slip away from your foes. Immediately after you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to turn invisible and teleport up to 60 feet to a spot you can see. You remain invisible until the end of your next turn or until you attack, deal damage, or force a creature to make a saving throw.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Cheat Death

Starting at 15th level, if you die or are reduced to 0hp you can choose to make a Deception check and be immediately revived with hit points equal to the result of your check. Once you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Avatar of Chaos

At 20 level, using your action you can become an Avatar of Chaos. For 1 minute the area within 30 feet of you becomes a Wild Magic Zone. Any enemy who casts a spell in the zone or makes an attack on you must roll on the Wild Magic Table. You and your allies are unaffected by the Wild Magic Zone. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
