Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

An old human stands in the middle of a battlefield, swords and arrows bounce of his shield, he pulls out his spellbook, mutters a few words and smiles as he lets loose a fireball leaving him and his allies unscathed while turning the enemies to ash. A dwarf charges at a band of hobgoblins, mid swing her longsword ignites and upon making contact lets loose a bolt of lightning into the hobgoblin, killing him instantly. Both of them are Battle mages, mages that like to get into the thick of the fighting and not miss out on any of the fun.

The magic of battle

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level,

whenever you make a weapon attack roll against a target, you can replace your strength or dexterity modifier with your intelligence modifier. You cannot do this for the damage modifier. In addition you also gain proficiency in all simple weapons, one martial weapon, of your choice, light armor and shields.

Minds wit

Starting at 2nd level,

Whenever you cast an area of effect spell, you can choose any number of creatures in that area not to be effected by it (Including yourself). Also staring at second level you may spend a long rest to channel your magic through a weapon, doing this allows you to use the weapon you selected as a spellcasting focus. (You may only have one weapon as a spellcasting focus at a time)

Extra attack

Starting at 6th level,

You can attack twice instead of once when you take the attack action on your turn.

Battle hardened

Starting at 10th level,

Your hit dice turn into D8's, and whenever you roll for HP roll a D8 instead of a D6.

Magically infused

Starting at 14th level,

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend a spell (Up to 4th level) into the attack marking down the spell slot used for that spell, you may only do this once per turn. For example, if you hit with a melee attack you may expend a 3rd level spell slot to cast the spell fireball. The spell you pour into the target effects only that target even if the spell specifically states otherwise.

You may only do this with a weapon that is considered your spellcasting focus.
