Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Sometimes sheer skill and divine power won't be enough to best the enemies of evil. This is what paladins want to solve by swearing the Oath of Fury. Gifted with the ability to let their rage and anger fuel their fighting prowess and to become a statement of power they follow these tenets:

  • Fury is Key. Be a force on the battlefield not to be ignored.
  • Control the Anger. Fury is your weapon, not your master.
  • Rage for a Cause. The most powerful fury has purpose

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Fury Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Oath of Fury Spells

PALADIN LEVEL SPELLS
3rd hellish rebuke, heroism
5th barkskin, hold person
9th call lightning, haste
13th death ward, wall of fire
17th arcane hand, dominate person

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.

Unsettling Rage. As a bonus action you enter a state of pure rage and anger for 1 minute. During this rage you have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing or slashing damage (your choice when using this channel divinity option) and advantage on intimidation checks.

Furious Launch. As an action you leap into the air far enough to land up to 60ft from your launching point. You don’t take damage from this fall. As part of this action you can then make one melee weapon attack against a creature within range at advantage. If you hit this attack it automatically becomes a critical hit. Additionaly all creatures within 5ft of the point you land on are pushed 10 ft. away from you.

Furious Strike

At 7th level you imbue your strikes with divine fury. Once per turn whenever you hit a large or smaller creature with a melee weapon attack you can choose to either push the creature 10 ft. away from you or shove it prone.

At 15th level you can push or shove huge or smaller creatures. At 18th level you can push or shove gargantuan or smaller creatures.

Holy Wrath

Starting at 15th level you are emporered by the fury inside you, enabling you to punish those that stand against your holy rampage. As a reaction when a creature damages you, you can half that damage and cause the creature that damaged you to take radiant damage equal to half the damage it dealt to you.

Once you use this feature you have to hit a creature with a melee attack before you can use it again.

Fury Incarnate

At 20th level you can release the divine fury from within you. As a bonus action you gain the following benefits which last for 1 minute:

  • Your eyes glow lightly in a colour of your choice (usually red or golden) and if you scream or shout out a battle cry (which you should) it is increased in volume tenfold.
  • Your strength score becomes 30 and you have resistance against all damage.
  • The ground within 30 ft. of you becomes difficult terrain for creatures of your choice.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.
