Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some Barbarians rely on relentless, reckless, and repeated attacks to slay their foes.  Barbarians who take the Path of Patience however opt instead to bide their time, allowing their rage to build slowly in order unleash ferocious attacks.

Building Rage

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can allow your rage to build slowly as you take damage in order to strike even harder when you unleash your fury.  You have 3 Rage Points at 3rd level.  When you take damage from weapon attacks while you’re raging, you can choose to ignore your resistance to piercing, bludgeoning, and slashing damage from nonmagical weapons.  If you do, you may add 1 Rage Point for every 5 points of damage you take in this way (rounded down).  Once you have added rage points equal to the number of slots, you may choose to expend all of your points when you hit with a melee weapon attack.  If you do, you may add 1d6 to the attack's damage for each point expended.

When you use this feature or when your rage ends, your rage points reset.  You gain an additional rage point slot at levels 6 and 14

Extreme Measure

At 6th level, your fury can be enhanced at the cost of your own vitality.  As a bonus action while you are raging, you may take damage from a weapon you are holding equal to your barbarian level + 5 to add a rage point.

Magical Attack

Starting at 10th level, your patient fury is imbued with magical energy.  When you expend your rage points to deal extra damage, that attack is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance and its damage type is either fire, lightning, thunder, or cold damage (your choice).

Lasting Fury

Beginning at 14th level, you maintain your building fury even long after your rage ends.  Your Rage Points don't reset until you complete a long rest.
