Your innate magic comes from an ancient race of butterfly people that was mingled with your blood as your ancestors. You have not only their grace and beauty, but also their overwhelming magic.

Winged Ancestor

At 1st level, you choose one type of butterfly as your ancestor.

Orange

Associated with communication, you get +2 in Charisma.

Blue/Purple

Associated with stability and balance, you get +2 in Constitution.

Yellow

Associated with the love of learning, you get +2 in Intelligence.

Green

Associated with being analytical and inventive, you get +2 to Wisdom. 

Red

Associated with danger, power and aggression, you get +2 in Strength

Cyan

Associated with liveliness, youth and energy, you get +2 in Dexterity

Butterfly Inheritance

As magic flows through your body, it causes physical and mental traits of your ancestors ancestors to emerge. You gain more knowledge about  magic.

Additionally, parts of your skin are covered by a thin sheen of exoskeleton-like skin . When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier.

You also have 2 sets of arms and hands which you can hide or show at will.

Elemental Awakening

You decided to follow after your ancestor and chose an element to master in. Starting at 6th level, when you cast a spell that deals damage of the type you chose, you can add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell. You also gain resistance to that damage type.

You know one cantrip and one spell. You can use the cantrip twice every short rest and the spell once every long rest. 

Acid

You know the Acid Arrow spell and the Acid Splash Cantrip. You also have resistance to acid damage.

Cold

You know the Investiture of Ice spell and the Frostbite Cantrip. You also has resistance to cold damage.

Fire

You know the Fire Bolt cantrip and the Fireball spell. You also have resistance to fire damage.

Lightning

You know the Lightning Lure cantrip and the Chain Lightning spell. You also have resistance to lighting damage.

Butterfly Control

You can control and sense through butterflies. As an action you can also imbue butterflies with your magic for 2 sorcerer points, giving them +1 Constitution.

Butterfly Wings

At 14th level, you gain the ability to sprout a pair of butterfly wings from your back, gaining a flying speed equal to your current speed. You can create these wings as a bonus action on your turn. They last until you dismiss them as a bonus action on your turn.

You can’t manifest your wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate your wings might be destroyed when you manifest them.

True Butterfly Form

Beginning at 18th level, you can channel your ancestral magic to take on the form of them. You gain bigger wings and a pair of antennae. Your four arms will be shown no matter what disguise you have on. You are also enshrouded in a shower of magical dust. As an action, you can spend 5 sorcery points to use this dust to exude an aura of awe to a distance of 60 feet. For 1 minute or until you lose your concentration (as if you were casting a concentration spell), each hostile creature that starts its turn in this aura must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed until the aura ends. A creature that succeeds on this saving throw is immune to your aura for 24 hours.
