Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Despite their focus on deception, paladins of the Oath of the Shroud are not inherently evil or malicious. Rather, they see their abilities as tools to be used in service of a greater good. They strive to maintain a balance between secrecy and transparency, using their powers to protect those who cannot protect themselves and to expose those who would do harm.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Redirect Attack. As a reaction, you can force a creature within 30 feet of you to reroll an attack made against you or an ally, using the new result. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long rest.

Veiled Visage. As an action, you can alter your appearance and voice, changing your physical features and making it more difficult for others to recognize you. This lasts for 1 hour, and you can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, regaining all uses on a long rest.

Cloak of Shadows

At 15th level, you gain the ability to disappear into the shadows. As an action, you can become invisible for a number of rounds equal to your Charisma modifier. While invisible, you gain resistance to all damage types and advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. You can use this ability once per long rest. Attacking or casting spells does not dispel this effect.

Master of Illusions

At 20th level, you become a true master of illusions. You gain the ability to cast any illusion spell of 5th level or lower without expending a spell slot. Additionally, when you cast an illusion spell, you can choose to make it real for a brief moment, causing it to deal damage or have some other tangible effect. This effect lasts for 1 round, after which the illusion returns to normal. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, regaining all uses on a long rest.
