Base Class: Monk
All creatures hold a spark of energy within themselves: an inner light known as ki. Monks of the Raging Fire learn to harness that energy, igniting that ki in bursts of flame to empower their strikes. They embrace the destructive force of fire, tempering it with discipline and will to control the blaze within. As a result, they can achieve devastating results- if they manage not to burn themselves out in the process.
Disciple of Fire
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your training has granted you instinctive control of fire. You learn the control flames cantrip.
Fists of Flame
Also at 3rd level, you can use the force of flame to increase the power of your strikes. When you hit with an unarmed strike or monk weapon, you can spend a number of ki points up to your proficiency bonus, dealing an additional 1d4 fire damage per ki point spent.
Steps of the Blazing Trail
At 6th level, you can move in bursts of fiery speed. When you use your Step of the Wind, you can choose to leave flames in your wake. Any unoccupied space you pass through on your turn becomes difficult terrain until the beginning of your next turn. When a creature moves into or within the affected area, it takes fire damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die for every 5 feet it travels.
When you use this feature, flammable objects or terrain along your path are automatically set on fire.
Burst of Burning Fury
At 11th level, you have resistance to fire damage, and you can spend 4 ki points as an action to cast the fireball spell, requiring no material components.
Stoke the Inner Flame
At 17th level, you learn how to harness the heat expended every time you use your abilities. When you spend at least one ki point, you gain the following benefits
- You have immunity to fire damage
- You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed
- When a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, it takes fire damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.
