Lightning Martial Arts
At 3rd level when you activate your Flurry of Blows feature you can add one of the following effects to it. The effect must be chosen before you make any attack rolls.
- Quickened Strikes: You can make an additional unarmed strike with your Flurry of Blows (totaling 3).
- Lightning Jab: The damage of your unarmed strikes is converted to lightning, and creatures hit by them must make a Constitution saving throw or be Restrained until the end of their next turn.
- Thunderous Fist: The damage of your unarmed strikes is converted to thunder, and creatures hit by them must make a Constitution saving throw. If they fail, they are deafened and you can push them up to 10 feet away from you.
Mantle of the Storm
Mantle of Storms
At the 6th level as a bonus action, you can spend 1 Ki point to cloak yourself in lightning for 1 minute. Your mantle ends early if you are incapacitated or die. While your mantle is active, you gain the following benefits.
- The bonus movement given by your unarmored movement feature doubles.
- Lightning damage you deal ignores resistances.
- You gain a second reaction each turn.
- You gain the effects of the Spider Climb spell.
At the 11th level, lightning damage you deal with while your mantle is active treats immunity as resistance.
Overcharged
At 11th level, the lightning within you leaks into your attacks. When attacking with a monk weapon or unarmed strike you deal an additional 1d6 lightning damage. While your Mantle of Storms is active, your Overcharged damage die increases in size to match your Martial Arts die.
In addition, lightning damage you deal ignores resistances, and you gain resistance to lightning damage.
Tempest Mantle
At 17th level, your Mantle of Storms achieves its most powerful form. When a creature hits you with an attack while your Mantle of Storms is active, the damage of the attack is reduced by an amount equal to a roll of your martial arts die plus your Wisdom modifier to a minimum of 0, and if the creature is within 15 feet of you it takes lightning damage equal to the reduction.
In addition, you gain resistance to lightning damage.
