the necromancer revamp

Reanimator feature

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a necromancy spell into your spellbook is halved. You also learn the cantrip, spare the dying. You can cast it as a bonus action and it has a range of 5 x your proficiency bonus ft.

Soul Fragment

At 2nd level, you gain the ability to reap life energy from creatures that died in your presence. As a reaction, you can transfer a fragment of a dying soul into yourself or an ally. Absorbing the soul fragment yourself, heals you an amount of HP’s equal to your wizard level. To place it into another creature, expend one of your hit die. The creature receiving the soul fragment heals for an amount equal to the result of the spent hit die plus your wizard level. Both the dying creature and the recipient of the soul fragment must be within 5 x your proficiency bonus ft.

Undead Thralls

At 6th level, you add the Animate Dead spell to your spellbook, if it is not there already.

When you cast Animate Dead, you can target one additional corpse or pile of bones, creating another zombie or skeleton, as appropriate.

Whenever you create an undead using a necromancy spell, it has additional benefits:

• The creature’s hit point maximum is increased by an amount equal to your wizard level.

• The creature adds your proficiency bonus to its weapon attack and damage rolls. • You do not need to recast to maintain control on an amount of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus.

Death’s Obedience

Starting at 6th level, you can cast spells with both the Necromancy and Ritual tags as rituals without any additional time needed. You also learn the spell, Speak With Dead, if you haven’t already. You may cast this spell at will a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.

Undead Echos

Beginning at 10th level, you can summon a spectral version of an undead creature.

The creature summoned must be of a CR equal to 1/3 your wizard level rounded down. The creature must also be approved by the DM.

The echo of that creature requires concentration and lasts up to 1 hour. You can do this a number of times equal to half of your proficiency bonus rounded down.

Inured to Undeath

Beginning at 10th level, you have resistance to necrotic damage, and your hit point maximum can’t be reduced. You have spent so much time dealing with undead and the forces that animate them that you have become inured to some of their worst effects.

Command Lifeflow

Starting at 14th level, an aura surrounds you. Attempts to heal with spells and potions within 5 x your proficiency bonus ft. of you are halved unless you allow it.

A creature within range can also be forced to make death saves at disadvantage or with advantage, if you so choose.

Your allies also have resistance to necrotic damage while in your aura. You can also use an action to spend half of your current HP’s to bring the dead back to life.

The creature must have died within 10 minutes and is brought back to life with amount of HP’s equal to the amount lost by the caster. This can be done a number of times equal to 1/3 of your proficiency bonus, rounded down.
