Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians are known for their anger, their rage, the burning fury that courses through them and scorches their enemies. However, a certain tribe began to travel a path less travelled, the Path of Tears. Catharsis, sorrow and righteous sadness can be just as powerful as anger or joy, and those who take this path seek to master a wider spectrum of emotion. And they are not to be underestimated, for what they do not have in raw rage, they well make up for in emotional constitution, unusual healing ability, and the bringing down of foes.
Cleansing Tears
You have overcome or are still fighting a hardship in your life. As a bonus action, you can expel sorrow from you or an ally's body, relieving them. You restore 1d8+your STR modifier of hit points to yourself or an ally within 30ft.
You can use this ability up to your proficiency bonus.
Heavy Hearted
Beginning at 6th level, during your rage, you are unable to be knocked prone, and your attacks now deal an additional 1d8 psychic damage.
This damage increases when you reach certain levels, 2d8 at level 10, 3d8 at level 14, and 4d8 at level 18
Aura of Aching
Beginning at level 10, you emit an aura of emotions that can move others to weep.
You can make a creature that you can see within 30 ft. make a Charisma saving throw or be moved to cry until your concentration ends. While the creature is weeping, it has a weakness to psychic damage and disadvantage on further saving throws.
Masterful Willpower
Your endurance of the emotional trials of your path has steeled your resolve. Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to roll 3d8 and subtract that from the attack roll. You can use this ability once per long rest.
