Base Class: Barbarian
A half-orc stands over the body of his freshly-killed enemy, eyes unglazing as his fury passes. He looks down to the brothel of young women who were being trafficked into slavery and smiles at them before handing the very youngest a rose he had picked on the way into town, a few petals now missing in the aftermath.
An Aasimar strikes out with their handaxe and catches the corrupt tyrant in the chest, tossing him far into the air before slamming the body down, letting loose a triumphant roar and turning to the king's subjects.
A dwarf woman, beard tied back to keep it out of her eyes, bellows a challenge to the Devil lord who had been tormenting her home village and charges, mind set on one word and one only: justice.
These are the Path of Dreamers, the Barbarians whose anger has a name. Injustice exists in every corner of the Material Plane, and some have arisen with a dream in their heart. No more slavery. No more tyranny. No more Infernal interference. And all their rage is pointed in service of their dream and the construction of a better world.
Sick of It
Holding on hope 'cause I still believe this is our chance to live like we're free…
Your dream has led you to want to know injustice inside and out. You have dedicated yourself to one particular supernatural species and has given you a Passion that exceeds mortal words. Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain single-minded determination when you rage, pushing yourself to the limit. You must learn one of the eight supernatural languages, dedicating yourself against one of the forms of cosmic evil, called your Impassioned Enemy.
Passion. For the duration of your rage, you have a Passion Dice, which you may roll as a bonus action to deal an extra 1d4 damage with your weapon. If you hit, make a Constitution saving throw. On a success, the extra damage is dealt to the target and the turn ends, but on a failure, your weapon will rebound with such fury that you will take the same amount of damage as your target. Against your Impassioned Enemy, this feature deals 2d4 extra damage to your target. If you succeed your Constitution saving throw when you attack your preferred enemy, you only take one of your Passion dice in damage.
Your Passion dice become a 1d6 at 6th level, 1d8 at 10th level, and 1d10 at 14th level. You also choose a second Impassioned Enemy at 10th level.
