Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

In the dark elf nation of H'durash, animist priestesses—also called miko—hold incredible social importance even as they wield substantial magical might. An elf warlord with no miko to back him is not considered a serious contender on the world stage. Even Amaterasu, the great crystal light radiating from the heavens, is considered to have once been a miko; likewise, rumors suggest, was the dark goddess Maou.

Animists call forth the divine power of spirits, whether of the natural world, the heavens, or the works of the humanoid races. To an animist, every stone, every breath, every drunk bellow and child's sketch and coffin nail, is a blessing. Great palaces and woeful hovels alike are but shrines to their respective spirits. Even silence and void have characteristic natures, after all. While a given miko might focus her studies on one class of spirit, most trained miko can appease the spirits of a wide variety of common settings, items, and events.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency in the Performance skill and with a musical instrument of your choice, which you can use as a divine focus for your spellcasting.

Dance of the Spirits

Also at 1st level, you can use the power of nearby spirits to turn the tide of battle. As an action, you can begin a holy dance. Until the start of your next turn, you can use your reaction to grant a creature you can see +d6 to an attack roll, saving throw, or to AC against one attack. You must use this reaction between seeing the result of the roll and learning whether the roll succeeds or fails. (The d6 is rolled after you take this reaction.)

The bonus added by Dance of the Spirits increases to +d8 at 6th level. Also at 6th level, using this action on your turn automatically provides the benefit of the Help action to one creature you can see within 30 feet. The bonus further increases to +d10 at 14th level, and +d12 at 17th level.

Channel Divinity: Grace and Purity

At 2nd level, while performing your Dance of the Spirits as an action, you can expend your Channel Divinity to draw it to a climax, enhancing its effects. Until the start of your next turn, you can apply the bonus of your Dance of the Spirits once each turn, without using your reaction. (While this Channel Divinity is in effect, it supersedes the ability to use your reaction to provide the bonus; in other words, you may not use your reaction to provide a second bonus during a turn.)

Improved Dance of the Spirits

At 6th level, your Dance of the Spirits bonus becomes a d8. In addition to this bonus, you automatically provide the benefit of the Help action when you use your Dance of the Spirits action. (You do not provide the benefit of the Help action when your Dance of the Spirits bonus is used, but when you take the Dance of the Spirits action.) You must choose which creature and with which task you are Helping immediately, but you can be up to 30 feet away from the creature you Help.

At 14th level, your Dance of the Spirits bonus becomes a d10. At 17th level, it becomes a d12.

Blessed Presence

At 8th level in this class, your very presence stirs the spirits to act on behalf of your allies. You can cast bless as a bonus action, using one of your spell slots as normal. Additionally, when you cast bless this way, you may target up to two additional creatures.

Divine Coronation

At 17th level in this class, you gain the divine right to select those who will bear the burden of destiny. You may cast the spell foresight on a target other than yourself without using a spell slot. After using this feature, you may not use it again until you take a long rest.

Also at this level, your Dance of the Spirits bonus increases to d12.
