Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

You belong to an ancient lineage of dragon slayers. When you follow this path, you gain the strength to wield your family weapon. The weapon belonged to your father, an infamous dragon slayer amongst your people. You have been training for this moment your whole life, building your strength and resolve to one day, slay the dragons that have wreaked havoc on your homeland.

Ancestral Weapon

Starting at 3rd level, you learn to infuse a weapon with the ancestral magic of your people. The weapon can be any simple or martial, magical or non-magical melee weapon of your choosing. If it is a non-magical weapon, it becomes a +1 magical weapon. Once per turn, you can deal an additional 1d8 force damage with the weapon when you hit a creature. Additionally, the weapon has the thrown property, with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. If you throw the weapon, it reappears in your hand the instant after it hits or misses a target. The weapon’s benefits are suppressed while a creature other than you wields it.

To infuse the weapon, you perform a ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. The weapon must be within your reach throughout the ritual, at the conclusion of which you touch the weapon and forge the bond.

By 10th level, the weapon becomes a +2 magical weapon if it was not a magical weapon to begin with.

Thick Skin

Starting at 3rd level, your skin is tempered to withstand the onslaught of a dragon's breath. You gain resistance to one of the following damage types when you are raging: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison. You choose the resistance type each time you begin your rage.

Hacking Strikes

At 6th level, the strength behind the heavy impacts of your weapon rattles your enemies. When you hit a target with your ancestral weapon, if the target is large or smaller, it must make a strength saving throw against your strength score. If it fails, it is knocked prone.

Evasion

Beginning at 10th level, you can nimbly dodge out of the way of certain area effects, such as a red dragon's fiery breath or an Ice Storm spell. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

Fight Fire with Fire

At 14th level, your fury becomes so great, you have adapted the traits of a dragon to better slay them. When you rage, you gain wings and a flight speed equal to your movement. Additionally, your skin turns scaly, granting you +2 AC and you are immune to being frightened.
