Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Frozen Heart is a solemn vow taken by paladins who dedicate themselves to preserving order and protecting the innocent in the frozen tundras of the world. These paladins are imbued with the power of ice and snow, and their unwavering devotion to justice serves as a beacon of hope in the darkest of times. They are stoic and unflinching in the face of adversity, and their icy demeanor is both feared and respected by their enemies.
Frozen justice
At 20th level, you can call down a storm of ice and snow that freezes all enemies within 60 feet of you. All enemy creatures within the area of effect must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 10d10 cold damage and be restrained for 1 minute. A successful save halves the damage and negates the restrained condition. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Frozen smite
Starting at 3rd level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal extra cold damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage. The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8.
Frozen aura
Starting at 7th level, you gain resistance to cold damage, and you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain resistance to fire damage. In addition, you can use your action to activate an aura of cold that lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (no action required). While the aura is active, enemy creatures within 10 feet of you have their movement speed reduced by 10 feet, and they must make a Constitution saving throw or take cold damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
Frozen ward
At 15th level, you can use your action to create a ward of ice that surrounds you, granting you resistance to all damage except fire and forcing enemy creatures that start their turn within 10 feet of you to make a Constitution saving throw or take cold damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). The ward lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (no action required).
