Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have made a pact with the dark, your own shadow, or some other being infamous for being opposed to the light. Such beings prefer to be hidden or cause as little disturbance as possible, while also yearning to dismantle or destroy. Typically lawful, these Warlocks work best as assassins or spies working for shadowy organizations or people. Beings powerful enough to craft this pact include deities like Lolth, Shar, Mask, Leira, and many devils like Asmodeus and Baator.

Shadows Ambush

Starting at 1st level, you can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier. You also gain proficiency in the Stealth skill.

Additionally, if you cast a spell while hidden or heavily obscured your position is not revealed to creatures that normally would.

Shadows Surprise

Starting at 6th level, your ability to strike when the moment is right follows even to your spell casting. Creatures who are unaware of you or surprised by you have disadvantage on saving throws you force them to make.

Swift Substitution

Starting at 10th level, the shadows can pull in objects and debris to help soften dangerous attacks. When you are hit by an attack roll you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d12 + your Warlock level + your Charisma modifier. If this damage is reduced to zero, you can also move up to half of your movement speed without provoking attacks of opportunity.

Forced Blind Spot

Starting at 14th level, your magic actively attempts to mask you by creating blind spots in your foes. When you cast a Warlock spell using a Pact Slot, you become heavily obscured until the start of your next turn.
