Monk
Base Class: Monk

Either trained by an efreeti or someone who inherited their blood, you channel your ki to produce the same flame and ferocity as the efreeti of the City of Brass

Efreeti's Form

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn magical disciplines that harness the power of Fire. A discipline requires you to spend ki points each time you use it.

See the Spellcasting section for the general rules of spellcasting. To cast one of these spells, you use its casting time and other rules, but you don’t need to provide material components for it.

Once you reach 5th level in this class, you can spend additional ki points to increase the level of an elemental discipline spell that you cast, provided that the spell has an enhanced effect at a higher level, as burning hands does. The spell’s level increases by 1 for each additional ki point you spend. For example, if you are a 5th-level monk and cast burning hands, you can spend 3 ki points to cast it as a 2nd-level spell (the spell's base cost of 2 ki points plus 1).  For Fire Bolt, treat this as adding 1 die of damage

The maximum number of ki points you can spend to cast a spell in this way (including its base ki point cost and any additional ki points you spend to increase its level) is determined by your monk level, as shown in the Spells and Ki Points table.

Heated Core

3rd-Level Way of the Efreeti Feature

You can channel the elemental power of fire to imbue your body with the essence of the fire plane and release it at will. You gain the following benefits:

Elemental Flames

3rd-Level Way of the Efreeti Feature

Elemental Flames.  You can spend 1 Ki point to fire bolt at the target, or 2 ki points to cast burning hands

Ember Flight

6th-Level Way of the Efreeti Feature

When you use your Step of the Wind, your legs transform to columns of smoke and ember and return to normal at the end of your turn. While transformed exist, you have a flying speed equal to your walking speed.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Aspect of Flame

11th-Level Way of the Efreeti Feature

The power of your fiery spirit now radiates from you. As a bonus action, you can create an aura of flame that radiates 10 feet from you for 1 minute. For the duration, you gain the following effects:

Fiery Presence. You and your allies within the aura are resistant to either fire or cold damage.  Once you create this aura, you can’t create it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend 3 ki points to create it again.

Fire Resistance Aura

You and your allies within the aura have resistance to fire damage.

Ascended Flame Aspect

17th-Level Way of the Efreeti Feature

Your elemental spirit reaches its peak. You gain the following benefits:

Augment Flame. When you use Flame of the Efreeti, you can spend 1 ki point to augment its shape and power:

  • You can split the fire blast and hit up to two additional targets.
  • You can twist and shape the burning hands to change shape to avoid allies so they do not have to make a save OR focus the blast in a straight line adding an additional 3d6 to the damage

Blindsight. You gain blindsight out to 10 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature within that range, unless the creature successfully hides from you.

Explosive Flame. When you activate your Aspect of the Flame, flames from the elemental planes explode from you. Choose any number of creatures you can see in your aura. Each of those creatures must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC or take 3d10 fire.
