Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Gladiator is a subclass that focuses on putting on a show and entertaining the crowds rather than being a master of combat. Their fighting style is heavily influenced by professional wrestling, with an emphasis on showmanship, style, and flair.

Entertainer's Flair

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to entertain the crowd with your fighting style. Whenever you land a critical hit or reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to perform a dramatic flourish, striking a pose or taunting your opponent. The crowd loves it, and you gain a temporary inspiration die that you can use on your next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting.

Showman's Presence

At 7th level, you gain the ability to captivate an audience with your presence. Whenever you enter a room or area, you can use your action to make a Charisma (Performance) check. If you succeed, you gain advantage on Charisma-based skill checks and saving throws for the next hour. In addition, any allies within 30 feet of you gain a bonus to their initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier.

Theatrical Combat

At 10th level, you gain the ability to use your showmanship to distract and confuse your opponents. Whenever you take the Attack action, you can choose to make a Performance check instead of a regular attack roll. If your check beats your opponent's passive Wisdom (Insight) score, you can choose to either deal half damage or give your opponent disadvantage on their next attack roll.

Grand Finale

At 15th level, you gain the ability to perform a spectacular finishing move that stuns and dazzles your audience. Once per day, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can use your bonus action to perform a finishing move that deals no damage but stuns all creatures within 30 feet of you for 1 round. Any creatures that fail a Wisdom saving throw against your Charisma (Performance) DC are also blinded for 1 round. The crowd goes wild, and you gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.

Gladiator's Triumph

At 18th level, you have achieved the pinnacle of gladiatorial combat. Once per day, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can choose to activate Gladiator's Triumph as a reaction.

When activated, your showmanship and combat prowess reach their absolute peak, stunning all creatures within a 60-foot radius for 1 minute as they are awed by your display. Additionally, your melee weapon attacks deal an additional 1d12 damage until the end of your next turn.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
