Druid
Base Class: Druid

The modern era is rife with new technologies that disrupt the beauty of nature, interfering with the life that druids work so hard to protect. The Circle of the Construct is an elite and relatively secretive group of druids that learned to harness and control artificial life. In so doing, they learned to understand the constructs and technologies that were rapidly changing the world.

Circle of the Construct druids have learned to Wild Shape into constructs, summon constructs, and empower their soul with electricity. Despite being experimental and largely unknown, there is no mistaking the wrath of these druids when they enter the battlefield.

Homunculus Servant

Circle of the Construct druids are able to - at will - summon small constructs to survey and interact with distant locations.

Starting at 2nd level, as an action, you can summon a homunculus that serves you for the next hour or until released (after either of which, it will blink out of existence). Once you've used this feature, you may not use it again until you've completed a long rest.

Lightning Rod

As Circle of the Construct druids begin to study the art of artificial life, their bodies become accustomed to the shock of electricity. As a result, lightning and electricity cannot harm them, and instead heals them.

Starting at 3rd level, you gain an immunity to lightning damage, and any time you would take lightning damage, you instead heal by an equal amount.

Constructed Wild Shape

As Circle of the Construct druids progress in their training, they learn to transform into the artificial life that they've studied. Becoming much more defensible and unpredictable as a result.

Starting at 6th level, when using Wild Shape, you may choose to turn into a construct instead of a beast. The construct must meet the same challenge rating and movement requirements as your regular Wild Shape transformations. Unlike for beasts, you do not have to have seen a particular type of construct in order to transform into it.

Constructed Wild Shape Improvement

Further progressed Circle of the Construct druids are even better at transforming into artificial lifeforms and gaining benefits from them.

Starting at 10th level, when Wild Shaped into a construct, the regular challenge rating rules for Wild Shape no longer apply. Instead, the maximum challenge rating of the construct you transform into is equal to your druid level divided by 4 (rounded down). Furthermore, while Wild Shaped into a construct, you have advantage on all Intelligence checks and saving throws.

Short Circuit

Highly trained Circle of the Construct druids are able to generate electricity within their body to be unleashed upon any nearby creature that is an artificial or twisted form of life.

Starting at 14th level, as an action, all aberrations, monstrosities, and constructs within 30 ft from you must make a Wisdom saving throw against your druid spell save DC. You can select any number of specific creatures of that type and within that range to auto-succeed the saving throw. On a fail, those creatures become incapacitated for the next 2 turns and take 3d6 lightning damage. On a success, the creature suffers no damage and is not incapacitated. Once a creature has succeeded on a saving throw against this feature, it auto-succeeds any further saving throws from the feature for the next 12 hours. You may use this feature 2 times per long rest.
