The Way of the Rebel was created in order to stand up to authority, whether that be a controlling government, a crime organization or even just bullies. Monks of The Way of the Rebel strike against injustice using both the old ways of martial arts, and the new unpredictable and deadly firearms of the new age.

Path of the Rebel

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your guerilla war practices have taught you of the new and volatile firearms. You gain the following benefits.

Firearms Training. You gain proficiency with firearms, in addition, you may make any firearm into a monk weapon, called a rebel weapon.

Rebel Fighting. If you make an unarmed strike as part of the Attack action on your turn and are holding a rebel weapon, you can use the opportunity to ignore the close range penalty of your rebel weapon, until the end of your next turn, while the weapon is in your hand and you aren’t incapacitated.

Resourceful. When your firearm misfires, it takes a bonus action to repair, instead of the usual action.

Guerilla Tactics. You gain proficiency with the stealth skill or the intimidation skill.

Firearm Linked

At 6th level, your ki empowers your firearms.

Magic Rebel Weapons. In order to break through the resistances of creatures, you rebel weapons count as magical.

Ki Shot. When you hit a target with a rebel weapon, you can spend 1 ki point to ignore the loading property of your firearm for the next 1 minute.

Guerilla Tactics

When you reach 6th level in this class, you can use your guerilla tactics to remain hidden despite the sound of your firearm. Whenever you hit a creature or object with a firearm attack while hidden, your position is not revealed.

Intimidation Techniques

When you reach 11th level in this class, you gain the ability to manipulate the minds of your target through mind games. Whenever you hit a creature with a firearm attack, you may spend between 3 to 5 ki points to force 3 hostile creatures within 30ft of the target to make a wisdom saving throw, on a fail, the creature is frightened of you until the end of its next turn.

The number of creatures effected by this increases with each additional ki point spent.

Rebellious

When you reach 17th level in this class, you let no one rule you. You can spend 3 ki points to end any effect that would inhibit your movement in any way.
