Base Class: Monk
Long ago, a group of monks lived high in the mountains, secluded from the rest of the world. These monks were renowned for their discipline and their mastery of the martial arts. One day, a group of giants stumbled upon the monks' temple, seeking refuge from a raging storm. The monks welcomed them in and provided them with food and shelter. Over time, the monks and the giants became close friends. The monks were impressed by the giants' strength and wisdom, and the giants were fascinated by the monks' agility and mastery of the martial arts. They exchanged knowledge and learned from each other, and the monks began to incorporate elements of the giants' fighting style into their own. The giants taught the monks how to harness the power of the earth and the elements, how to move with the force of a mountain, and how to channel their energy into their strikes. The monks in turn showed the giants how to move with the grace of the wind, how to use their smaller size to their advantage, and how to strike with precision and accuracy. Together, the monks and the giants developed a new martial art: the Way of the Giant. This style emphasized strength, agility, and wisdom, and taught its practitioners to fight like a force of nature. It was a combination of the monks' mastery of the martial arts and the giants' raw power and elemental control. Today, the Way of the Giant is a respected and feared martial art, used by both giants and humans alike. It has spread throughout the land, carried by the monks and the giants who learned it from each other so long ago.
Giant Mentor
At 3rd level, the monk gains a giant mentor who teaches them the ways of the giants. The monk gains the ability to choose one type of giant mentor to gain a specific benefit. Each giant mentor has a unique benefit that scales with the use of ki points, and these benefits continue to be useful at higher levels. The choices are:
- Hill Giant: The monk gains the Hill's Endurance, allowing them to spend a ki point to gain temporary hit points equal to their level plus their Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). These temporary hit points are lost at the end of the monk's next turn.
- Stone Giant: The monk gains the Stone's Stability, allowing them to spend a ki point to gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage until the start of their next turn.
- Frost Giant: The monk gains the Frost's Chill, allowing them to spend a ki point to add cold damage equal to their proficiency bonus to their unarmed strikes and monk weapon attacks until the end of their turn.
- Fire Giant: The monk gains the Fire's Fury, allowing them to spend a ki point to add fire damage equal to their proficiency bonus to their unarmed strikes and monk weapon attacks until the end of their turn.
- Cloud Giant: The monk gains a bonus action that allows them to spend a ki point to move without provoking opportunity attacks until the end of their turn. Additionally, the monk gains advantage on Dexterity saving throws until the end of their turn.

The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against the monk's DC of 8 + their Wisdom Score + Proficiency or be charmed by the monk for 1 minute. The creature has advantage on the saving throw if it is currently being threatened or attacked by the monk or their allies. The monk can use this ability once per long rest.
Giant's Affinity
The monk gains an affinity for a specific element. The monk gains resistance to the chosen element and can spend a ki point to create an aura of elemental energy. This aura lasts for the amount of ki points used and has a range of 15-foot radius. The aura has various effects depending on the type of energy:

The monk can use this ability once per long rest and lasts 1 minute.
