Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Buskers are always looking for the next performance. By performing impressive magic tricks, dizzying displays of acrobatics, or simply putting on a delightful street show, these Bards always find a way to make ends-meet. These Bards are often masters of deception and sleight of hand, able to perform mind bending tricks even without the aid of magic. Their remarkable capability for street performing often comes in handy when in need of a distraction, and as such often find themselves as a crucial piece in many urban schemes.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join this college at 3rd Level, you gain proficiency with Sleight of Hand and Deception, as well as with two tools or games of your choice.

Street Performance

At 3rd level select a tool or skill with which you will perform. This can be a deck of cards, acrobatics, or a similar or suitable choice.  Consult your DM before deciding. When using this skill or tool in performance, you may make any rolls pertaining to it with advantage.

Additionally, you may roll the die used for bardic inspiration after a successful DC 12 check of the relevant skill to earn gold of the die's amount plus your Charisma modifier. This feature may only be used once per day, and the bardic inspiration die is not consumed.

A Magician Never Reveals their Secrets

At 3rd level, you find yourself uncannily adapt at deception regarding your chosen performance. You may use your tool or skill as a spellcasting focus, and additionally, any attacks made with or using it are treated as magic. You may use the die from bardic inspiration as the damage die, and this does not consume the die.

For example, a deck of cards may be treated as a magic weapon, and at level 3 would have 1d6 damage. For specific damage types, range, or weapon descriptions, consult your DM.

Captivating Performance

At 6th level, you find yourself able to hold an audience captive. Outside of combat, all creatures which fail an intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC during one of your performances have disadvantage on perception checks. Additionally, while using a bard spell in combat, you may expend a use of your bardic inspiration to attempt to charm the target for one round, by succeeding on a Performance check equal to the targets Wisdom score (Advantage from Street Performance does not apply).

Rabbits out of Hats

At 14th level, you find yourself able to to pull of things that may seem impossible from the outside. Your enemies may perceive this as you always being just one step ahead, while in truth you know that just a bit of deceit can go a long way.

When attempting to deceive, distract, or otherwise trick a character, you may expend a use of bardic inspiration to automatically succeed on the attempt if it is relevant to your chosen performance. You may perform such an action a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier.

Additionally, within combat, you find yourself able to determine the outcome of an action before it happens. By using a bardic inspiration die, you may use a reaction to make an enemy automatically fail a test, invoking a free usage of vicious mockery as you do. If your character does not know the spell vicious mockery, they may use it for this action, but only at half damage.
