Monks who walk the way of the aether have learned to tap into the astral plane. The energy gathered from the astral plane can be used to heal or to cheat death.

Soul sight

At 3rd level, you can see into the astral plane. You can also see in both nonmagical and magical darkness.

Soul Splicing

At 3rd level, you can pull a willing soul from the aetherial plane to use in necromancy spells that doesn't belong to a body your trying to reanimate/resurrect. You may also pull spiritual energy from the aetherial plane to heal others. You gain access to the cure wounds, healing word, and spare the dying spells.

Aether Tap

At 6th level, you can tap into the weightlessness of the aetherial plane. You can cast fly at will. Your connection to spirits also strengthens. You gain access to animate dead and speak to the dead spells. Your unarmed attacks are now counted as magical for purpose of overcoming resistance to nonmagical attacks.

Aetherial Adept

At 11th level, gain access to raise dead and create undead spells. You can also expend ki points to heal nearby creatures. Each ki point spent heals a nearby creatures by 1d10 HP. You can choose to heal one or more creatures when activating this effect but choosing more than one creature requires use of equivalent ki points.

Aetherial Master

At 17th level, you can expend 1 ki point to have your attacks affect creatures in both the physical and aetherial planes for one minute. You have also leaned to merge a small piece of the aetherial plane with your body. You no longer age and cannot die of old age. You can also see the through illusions and shapeshifting.
