Base Class: Wizard
Some wizards learn their skills in lofty towers and cushy universities, living pampered lives as scholars. Mountain Sages walk a different path.
Whether born in the hills or coming to them from out of civilization to learn, the Mountain Sage finds closer affinity to nature than other, more scholarly sorts of wizards, and may be more closely related to the Druid than other mages.
Wizards of this tradition hone skills related to wisdom, study animals, take the form of beasts, and enjoy a hardier level of vitality.
Mountain Wisdom
Beginning when your Mountain Sage reaches the second level in the Wizard class: you have advantage in wisdom-based ability rolls and saving throws.
Critter Watcher
Beginning at 2nd level, when you select this school, you attack with advantage when attacking beasts with a spell (including cantrips) or a weapon.
Natural Magic
When your Mountain Sage reaches the sixth level in the Wizard class: learn two Druid spells, including cantrips, of your choice.
Skinchanger
Beginning when your Mountain Sage reaches the tenth level in the Wizard class, you gain this ability:
You know your beasts well. Once per long rest, as an action, for one hour, you can assume the form of one beast you have seen at least once. You use that beast's stats for the duration and cannot cast spells. You cannot use items unless your new form possesses hands with moveable, distinct fingers and is able to lift the item. You transform back into your original form if you take damage equal to or greater than the form's total HP; left-over damage must be subtracted from your original form's HP.
You can choose to drop the beast form at any time.
Outdoorsy Resiliance
When your Mountain Sage reaches 14 levels in the Wizard class: Gain 20 HP.
