Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of Monetary Monastery have learned to harness their wealth and financial acumen to aid their martial arts as well as protect their wealth using these monastery teachings. These monks have mastered the art of fiscal deception and use their pecuniary skills to gain advantages both in and out of combat.

Monetary Values

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to use your wealth to your advantage in social situations. You gain proficiency in the Deception skill if you don’t already have it. In addition, You gain the following benefits:

  • Persuasive Wealth: You can use your wealth to persuade others to see things your way. When you make a Charisma (Persuasion), you can spend a number of gold pieces equal to 5 times their level to gain advantage on the check. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. While you have no uses available, you can spend 1 ki points to use this feature again.
  • Monetary Flurry: You learn how to channel your wealth into your strikes. Whenever you use your Flurry of Blows feature, you can use a gold coin or other small valuable objects to attack. The object is considered a monk weapon and has the Thrown (range 20/60) property. You deal extra damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die for each attack you make during the Monetary Flurry. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
