Base Class: Monk
I cut through the air like a blade. I am a torrent of leaves kicked up in the wind. I grasp at the fabric of the universe and wrap myself in its tensile folds.
The higher I climb, the more the internal doubter makes himself known: "But what if you fall?"
Does the spider fear a fall from her web? Do the stars tremble at the possibility they'll plummet from the heavens?
I dance with the mighty gale; I am cradled by the weave of the universe.
The doubter will never know the air as I do.
Silkstrike
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can summon a rope dart made from the strands of reality when you take Attack action on your turn. The weapon counts as a monk weapon that you wield with two hands, and it lasts until you dismiss it (no action required).
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can make a special attack with your rope dart. This special attack is a melee spell attack with a reach of 10 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your WIS modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is piercing, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table.
Once per turn when you hit a creature with this rope dart, the strands of reality encase your body and increases your AC by 2 until the end of your next turn.
When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.
Ensnaring Slam
Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki into restrictive strands of energy. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to slam the ground as a bonus action, causing each hostile creature within 5 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw or be restrained until the end of your next turn.
You can spend additional ki points to increase the range of the wave of energy. Each additional ki point you spend increases the range by 5 feet. The maximum number of ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half your monk level.
Threaded Spike
Starting at 11th level, you gain the ability to throw a rope dart at you enemies, briefly severing their connection to the world. As an action, you can expend 2 ki points to throw a rope dart at enemies. The dart hits a target of your choice within 20 feet and can hit up to two other creatures within 20 feet of the first target. Each target must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, they take 3d6 piercing damage and must subtract a d4 from attacks and saving throws until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and suffers no other effects.
Thread of Fury
At 17th level, you gain mastery over the strands of reality. As an action, you can expend 3 ki points to make a sweeping attack with your Silkstrike dart. Each hostile within 10 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 4d10 slashing damage as the dart slashes into them.
Additionally, after making this attack, your Silkstrike attacks deals an additional 1d10 damage until the end of your next turn.
