Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

The Machine Pact is a unique form of arcane service, indeed, as each of the entities with which one might make this pact is each a potent mechanical and magical being, and each may have an agenda all their own that usually leans toward lawful ends. Most of the purveyors of such pacts see imperfections in themselves that service to such perfected machines can correct, and they seek to not only command and control mechanical beings, but to also become more "mechanically perfect" themselves. This often leads this unique pact to make sacrifices of their time and energy ensuring precision to the utmost degree in their magical practice, and they may even be willing to forsake their living body to physically become more "machine-like" themselves.

In Avalestra, the Machine Goddess crafted by Makaven the Crafty long outlived her creator by fleeing the First Heroes and establishing herself at the polar north of the world. After a few years, she had established a small citadel and crafted her own Inevitable Generals and Modron servants, and even managed to develop the process of "remaking" biological matter into a magical machine being. When Toosho Haventa sought the Machine Goddess due to his bizarre devotion to Makavenand his notes and research, he offered himself up to her power to be able to fully understand what she had created and become. Having undergone "remaking" himself, he now serves in complete devotion to the Machine Goddess, feeling a superficially-installed euphoric love for her at all times. With his newly-imbued magical powers, he is able to command and control constructs and machines, and cast amazing magical spells which empower his service in almost any function towards the Machine Goddess's tyrannical ends.

Mechanical Precision

1st-level Machine Pact feature

At 1st level when you choose this Pact, you gain the ability to either think more like a computing machine than even before, or likewise even become more machine-like yourself. You choose one of the following benefits:
Machine Body. You have integrated some machines into your physical body in some way, which restores function and bestows important resilience to your form. If you are missing any limbs or appendages, you may replace them with a fully-functioning mechanical apparatus that simulates the function of that limb in all ways. You gain a +1 magic bonus to your Armor Class and gain a +1 magic bonus to Constitution saving throws.
Machine Mind. You have begun to open your own mind to more mechanical, and thus hyper-logical thinking. You gain proficiency in your choice of Arcana, History, Nature, or Religion. Additionally, you learn the Guidance cantrip. Lastly, you thrive on input and are immune to non-magical sleep effects and no longer require sleep, although you may still choose to sleep.

Machine Duality

6th-level Machine Pact feature

At 6th level, you have learned to empower yourself with mechanical magics to a startling degree, ensuring efficiency in most things you do. Roughly half of your physical body can be mechanical in some nature, at this point, to reflect the benefits you receive. You are treated as the Construct creature type in all ways in which it is beneficial to you, and you cannot be targeted or affected by spells and effects that cannot target Constructs.

Additionally, you learn and can cast Enhance Ability on yourself once without expending a spell slot. You can cast this spell this way once before you must finish a short rest to cast it this way again. While you maintain concentration on this spell, you can choose to gain advantage on one attack roll or saving throw you make before the beginning of your next turn for the duration.

Constructed Completion

10th-level Machine Pact feature

Starting at 10th level, you have become as much of a magical machine as you choose to present yourself as, having become thoroughly suffused with arcane machinery all throughout your form. You also gain a benefit based on which option you choose for your Mechanical Precision feature:
If you chose Machine Body, you add 2 points to your choice of Strength or Constitution score, which can exceed your racial maximums.
If you chose Machine Mind, you add 2 points to your choice of Intelligence or Wisdom score, which can exceed your racial maximums.

Mechanized Arcana

14th-level Machine Pact feature

Starting at 14th level, your rapidly-tabulating mind can calculate the perfect formulation of certain spells you favor, enabling you to cast them far more easily. When you gain this feature, choose a spell you know and can cast with a concentration duration, and whenever you cast that spell, you may cast that spell without concentrating on it. Likewise, whenever you use any levels of your Mystic Arcana feature to cast a spell, you may cast that spell without concentrating on it. Such spells will have their effects continue for the entire listed duration unless otherwise dispelled or cancelled. You may cast any one of these spells this way once before you must finish a long rest to use this feature again.

Additionally, whenever you cast the Summon Construct spell, you may immediately cast a copy of that spell at the level of the spell slot expended, this copy has no component requirements, and the creature appears in another space within the spell's range and remains for the duration or until destroyed. You may cast this spell this way once before you must finish a long rest to cast it this way again. Also when you cast Summon Construct, you may expend daily uses of your Mystic Arcana feature to cast that spell at the spell level of the expended feature. For instance, you can cast Summon Construct as if it were cast with a 7th-level spell slot if you expend your daily usage of your 7th-level Mystic Arcana feature instead of expending spell slots.
