Base Class: Rogue
Subtlety is not your forte—at least, not on the battlefield. When someone needs a quick blade, they call an assassin. When a target needs to go down and stay down, they call in a Heavy Hitter. Specializing in getting the most out of the heaviest weapons, these rogues know how to bring the pain.
Load-Bearing
3rd-Level Heavy Hitter feature
You gain proficiency with greataxes, greatswords, mauls, and medium armor. You can use your Sneak Attack feature with any heavy melee weapon without reach.
In addition, the heavy weapon property no longer gives you disadvantage on melee attack rolls if you are Small.
Centrifugal Strike
3rd-Level Heavy Hitter feature
You've learned to use the momentum of large weapons to their full potential. Once per turn, you can immediately move up to 5 feet without provoking an Opportunity Attack when you make an attack with a heavy melee weapon; this movement is in addition to your normal speed.
Shot Call
3rd-Level Heavy Hitter feature
You can shout or gesture to intimidate opponents and gain an opening. As a bonus action, you can make a Charisma (Intimidation) check against a creature that can see or hear you (the two of you must share a language if it can't see you), contested by the target’s Wisdom (Insight) check. You automatically fail if the target can't be frightened. If you succeed, you can use your Sneak Attack against that target even if you don’t have advantage on the attack roll, but not if you have disadvantage on it.
This benefit lasts for 1 minute or until you use this feature against a different target.
Devastating Impact
9th-Level Heavy Hitter feature
You swing with overwhelming force. When you hit a Sneak Attack with a heavy melee weapon, you can impose one of the following effects on that target (DC is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier):
- It must succeed on a Strength save or get pushed up to 15 feet away from you.
- It must succeed on a Dexterity save or get knocked prone.
- It must succeed on a Constitution save or it has disadvantage on the next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw it makes before the start of your next turn.
Conditioning
13th-Level Heavy Hitter
Your experience with handling cumbersome weapons improves your agility. Whenever you make a Dexterity saving throw, you can add your Strength modifier to the result (minimum of +1).
Grand Slam
17th-Level Heavy Hitter feature
You can hit so hard that shockwaves explode from your blows. When you hit a Sneak Attack with a heavy melee weapon, you can create a wave of thunderous force in a 10-foot cube originating from the target. If you do, the attack deals an additional 2d8 thunder damage, and each other creature in the area takes half the thunder damage.
