Base Class: Ranger
A hunter that has excelled through the years, learning how to manipulate the seasons into giving them the best possible way to victory.
Use your seasonal abilities to improve your combat prowess or to had harsh effects onto your foes.
Throwing Glaive
At level 3, you wield a throwing glaive. This glaive is a one handed ranged weapon with a range of 30/120. This glaive once hitting its target will dissipate and return back to your hand. It does 1d8 slashing damage + your DEX modifier. This glaive is counted as a magical weapon.
Imbue Seasons
At level 3, Imbue your glaive with the four yearly seasons, allowing this glaive to gain additional effects upon hitting an enemy.
You gain the ability to have your glaive infused with seasonal powers, being Spring Lifeforce, Summer Heat, Autumn Decay, and Winter Chill. Each one of these have different effects when they are imbued into your glaive.
For a bonus action, imbue your glaive with one of the four seasons of your choice, your glaive gains the following effects with the respected season:
Spring Lifeforce - You imbue your glaive with the growing lifeforce of spring, having vines and plants grow on it. Your glaive on hit deals 1d4 poison damage, and heals you for half of the total damage done with that throw.
Summer Heat - Your glaive becomes hot to the touch. You deal an additional 2d4 fire damage on hit with your glaive.
Autumn Decay - Your glaive withers, and reeks of decay. On hit, you deal an additional 1d4 necrotic damage and reduce the enemies AC by 1 until the end of your next turn. This effect only stacks once on an enemy
Winter Chill - Your glaive freezes, cold to the touch. You deal an additional 1d4 cold damage on hit, and you reduce the enemies movement speed by 10 ft. This effect does stack with multiple attacks.
This effect last on the glaive for 1 minute, and the season can be changed by using a bonus action to change the season that is on your glaive to a different one. You can use Imbue Glaive 1 time + your proficiency bonus a day, and the charges are reset at sunrise.
Seasonal Blessing
At level 7, the seasons embrace you, giving you resistance to their damage types of Fire and Cold.
Ricocheting Glaive
At level 11, as you gain proficient with throwing your glaive, you are able to make it ricochet off objects towards others.
If you hit an object or enemy, you can make your glaive ricochet off to hit another object or enemy within 5 ft. The glaive can only ricochet once, and it has to make a separate attack roll with disadvantage. If it hits, it only does half damage.
Arsenal of Seasons
At level 15, the seasons bless you once more, allowing you to trigger effects on hit with your glaive. These effects are based on whatever season your glaive is imbued with. This counts as a bonus action and has a cooldown of 2 turns.
Spring Lifeforce - On hit, you can create an area of thorns that count as difficult terrain, and deal 2d4 piercing damage for every 5 ft. an enemy travels in them. The thorns go away at the end of your next turn. This area is a 15 ft. circle.
Summer Heat - On hit, a sunray beams through the sky hitting the target, dealing 2d8 radiant damage and they must make a CON save of 10 + your DEX modifier or be blinded.
Autumn Decay - On hit, the withering glaive transfers some of it's decay, dealing an additional 2d6 necrotic damage. If a target is downed by this damage, they instead decay and wither away.
Winter Chill - On hit, the enemy must make a CON save of 10 + your DEX modifier or be frozen until the end of your next turn.
