Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Stone and Sea is sworn by those who not only revere but also access the power of both elements. They can tap into the Earthpower of stone and rock as well as call on beasts of the deep to aid them. They seek deep rock--the oldest stone. Only there, the memory remains. They embody the sea. It does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient.
They adhere to a strict belief in kindness, esteem, restraint, and mercy and find much pleasure in courtesies. They go to great lengths to protect and care for the innocent, defenseless, and wounded; furthermore, they will travel great distances to redress great wrongs in the world.
Tenets of Stone and Sea
The oath of Stone and Sea is not only the life but also the greatest exclamation ("Stone and Sea!") of the paladins who follow this oath. They are known for their stone lore, their skill at seamanship, their good humor and their love of story-telling.
Good cannot be accomplished by evil means. Justifying actions to achieve what is believed the greater good is quite alluring. Therefore, paladins of the Oath of Stone and Sea must embrace the virtues of courage and altruism.
Give life and death meaning. Be a part of someone's marvelous tale, for it is not the circumstances of our lives that matter but how we react to them. Being a part of significant events gives purpose to both the lives and the deaths of its participants.
Strength Does Not Exist without Restraint. Do not hurt where holding is enough; do not wound where hurting is enough; do not maim where wounding is enough; and kill not where maiming is enough; the greatest warrior is he who does not need to kill.
There is Hope in Contradiction. Stone is solid and stays where it is unless some force makes it move. The sea is liquid and is constantly being pushed and pulled by the tides of the world. Stone and sea are deep in life--two unalterable symbols of the world--permanence at rest and permanence in motion. They are two participants in the Earthpower that remains.
Channel Divinity
Oath Sword. Your holy training begins to unlock your Stone Lore, which is Earthpower present in all stone. This intensifies when you choose the Oath of Stone and Sea and are presented with the restored sword with which you trained. It appears as if it is brand new, and there is a new addition, which is a gem stone (DM's Choice) that is now the pommel. This gives the sword perfect balance. This is your Oath Sword, and you channel the might of your Stone Lore to bolster your attacks for 1 minute. Once per turn when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, your Oath Sword deals an extra 1d8 bludgeoning (Stone) damage. Additionally, if the target is a creature, it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you. As an action, the creature can make a Wisdom check against your spell save DC to steel its resolve and end this spell. While Earthpower is not magic in the Arcane sense, it is still magic; as a result, your new Oath Sword is able to hit creatures that need a silver or a magic weapon to hit.
Stone Sense. When you take damage from a creature that is within 10 feet of you, you can use your reaction to emanate Earthpower from the precious gemstone pommel of your Oath Sword. The creature that dealt damage to you must make a Strength saving throw (DC equals 8 + your strength modifier + your charisma modifier). On a failed save, the creature takes 3d8 force damage and is pushed up to 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn’t pushed. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Rules Tip: Earthpower
Earthpower manifests in both living and nonliving matter, and everything in nature has some degree of Earthpower. Things which are strongly Earthpowerful have extraordinary, even paranormal, properties.
With the right lore, Earthpower can be harnessed to perform works of magic. Earth Lore is the basis for the ways in which some harness Earthpower to achieve their works, but this knowledge was set aside by most in favor of the quicker and easier gratification of Arcane magic.

Aura of Stone
Starting at 7th level, you and creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you benefit from the life-preserving energy of Earthpower which radiates from you and grants resistance to bludgeoning damage. When you reach 18th level in this class, the aura affects creatures within 30 feet of you.
Also, your Stone Lore knowledge allows you to tap into the power of the Gemstone Pommel of your Oath Sword granting you a bonus to your attack and damage rolls while using your Oath Sword, which is equal to one-half of your wisdom modifier rounded up.
You can only increase the Oath Sword's attack and damage properties using this Earthpower ability. For example, a +2 Wisdom modifier will give your Oath Sword a +1 to both attack and damage. You can use the ability equal to the number of times equal to your Constitution modifier. You can use this ability again after a Long Rest.
Stone Shape
At 7th level, the paladin has unlocked further Stone Lore as an extension of Stone Touch and knows how to shape stone (as the spell, stone shape).
Waves of Earthpower
Starting at 15th level, those who attack your allies are punished by the Waves of Earthpower for their temerity. Calling on your knowledge of the sea, you may use a reaction to magically mark a friendly creature within 60 feet of you. Whenever an attacker hits the marked creature with an attack, a wave of Earthpower (force) hits the attacker dealing 2d6 Earthpower (force) damage, and the marked creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be knocked prone.
Also, if on a disabled ship, the paladin can cast dominate beast. He is able to do this twice per short rest. This purpose is to call on a giant shark, sperm or killer whale to pull his craft if it is disabled.
The Power of Stone and Sea
At 20th level, you learn to channel the Earthpower of both stone and sea:
Ability Score Increase. Choose one of your ability scores. That score increases by 2, and this increase can raise the score above 20 but not above 30.
Last Stand. When you would be reduced to 0 Hit Points, you tap the power of stone, drop to 1 Hit Point instead, and regain a number of Hit Points equal to half your Hit Point Maximum. Once you use this benefit, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
Death Defiant. When you take damage while you have 0 Hit Points, the fluid power of the ocean flows through you, and you can make a death saving throw instead of suffering a death saving throw failure.
