Base Class: Monk
Monks who follow the Way of the Thunderous Fist harness the power of lightning to enhance their martial arts abilities. They are lightning-fast in their movements and can unleash devastating electric strikes on their foes.
Electric Strike
Starting at 3rd level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can spend 1 ki point to deal an additional 1d6 lightning damage to the target.
Thunder Step
At 6th level, you can use your ki to teleport short distances, leaving behind a burst of thunderous energy. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 ki points to teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Each creature within 10 feet of your starting space must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d8 thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Lightning Reflexes
At 11th level, your lightning-fast reflexes allow you to move with incredible speed. You gain the benefits of the Evasion feature even when you fail a Dexterity saving throw against an effect that would normally deal half damage on a successful save, such as a dragon's breath weapon.
Thunder God's Wrath
At 17th level, you can unleash a devastating blast of lightning on your foes. As an action, you can spend 5 ki points to create a 30-foot cone of lightning that extends out from you. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 10d8 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, any flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried are ignited.
