Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

At a certain point in your life a spirit from the Feywild chose to bond with you. There might be several reasons for this; you may have been born near a portal to the feywild, or you found your self wondering in the feywild and powerful spirit saw something in you that made it choose to bond with your soul. Sometimes a Bonded One has no idea why they were chosen, they simply know that something in them gives them magic, and that this something wants them to achieve great things.

Spiritual Bond

A spirit saw something in you and chose to bond with you. It is bonded to you for life and gives you all your magical powers. This spirit takes the form of a familiar and if it dies you can re-summon it once per day (as an action) with the Find Familiar spell granted to you by the Spiritual Bond feature, alternetively you can cast it as a ritual When you gain this feature you can choose one of the normal forms for your familiar or one of the following special forms: imp, pseudodragon, quasit, or sprite and it gives you these benefits:

  • You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception and Insight) checks while your familiar is within 10 feet of you.
  • You gain darkvision of 60 ft (if you already have darkvision, it increases by 30 ft).
  • You can communicate teIepathically with your familiar and perceive through your familiar's senses as long as you are on the same plane of existence. Additionally, while perceiving through your familiar's senses, you can also speak through your familiar in your own voice, even if your familiar is normally incapable of speech.

Leap of the Bond

Starting at 1st level, your bond with this spirit lets you do extraordinary things. Your spirit wants to protect you, so when you are endangered it instinctively tries to help you.

Once per day, when you are hit by an attack you may use your reaction to enact your Leap of the Bond feature to teleport up to 60 feet to your familiars current location (120 feet at 6th level) thereby negating the hit and any damage you should have taken or any effect it would have had on you.

At 3rd, 6th, 14th, 18th and 20th level you gain 1 additional use of Leap of the Bond.

Controlled Leap

At 6th level, you have learned to control your spirit's teleportation abilities. You can now spend 1 use of your Leap of the Bond feature as an action to teleport you and 1 willing creature (of your size or smaller) to your spirit familiars location (maximum of 120 feet). At 14th and 18th level the number of creatures you can bring increases to 2 and 3 (respectively) and it costs 1 additional use of your Leap of the Bond feature per additional creature

Spirit Recall

At 14th level, you gain the ability to recall your spirit familiar to your side when it is within a 100 feet of you. It beams to your side and leaves a trail of powerful energy in the line between you. When you do so each creature within the 5 feet wide, 100 feet long line between you and your spirit familiar must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 6d8 force damage on a failed save, and is Stunned until the end of its next turn. On a successful save a creature takes half damage and is not Stunned.

Spirit Fusion

At 18th level, you and your bonded spirit are one with each other. As an action you can spend 5 sorcery points to fuse with your bonded spirit for 5 rounds. When fused with your spirit you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain the speed of your familiar (flying, swimming, climbing).
  • As a bonus action on your turn you may teleport to an unoccupied space within 120 feet.
  • You gain resistance to damage from spells.
  • You have advantage on any spell attack roll.
  • You can cast spells of 3rd level and lower at will.

Once you have used this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
