Monk
Base Class: Monk

Pitdogs, in most cases, aren't even monks at all. Instead of focusing on transcendence, ki, balance and all that bollocks, these "monks" throw down with everything they've got. Knuckleheads, grunts and thugs, these gloryhounds will exert their force outwards as if nothing else matters, using dirty fighting tactics and practical martial arts moves to defeat their opponents and leave them with broken bones and hard bruises.

Backalley Beatdown

At 3rd level, when you select the Pitdog archetype, you gain access to creative but destructive upper-body maneuvers that can be activated when using your Flurry of Blows feature.

When you use your Flurry of Blows, for each attack, you may call one of the following Style-Strikes:

- Elbow Strike: You deliver a hard slam of your elbow to your enemy, dealing unarmed strike damage. If the attack hits, you may immediately unleash another unarmed strike which cannot be a Style-Strike. You may not add your Strength or Dexterity modifiers to the damage roll.

- Uppercut: With brutal efficiency, you pivot your upper body to slam your fist into your opponent's noggin, dealing unarmed strike damage and dazing them. If the attack hits, the target has disadvantage on all attack rolls and skill checks until the end of your next turn.

- Headbutt: Utilizing momentum, you attack your enemy using your rock solid forehead. This attack does not require an attack roll, but the enemy must make a Constitution saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a failure, the target gains one level of exhaustion.

Boxing Guard

Also at 3rd level, whenever you are hit by a melee attack, you may use your reaction to reduce the damage by your Martial Arts die + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice). If the damage is reduced to 0, you may immediately make an unarmed strike against the attacker.

Additionally, you may use Strength or Dexterity when adding your modifiers to an Intimidation check, instead of Charisma.
You also gain proficiency with Thieves' Tools.

Prowler Technique

At 6th level, your knowledge of martial arts and combat smarts have evolved enough that you gain the ability to use debilitating and painful grapple techniques.

When you grapple a creature, you may spend one ki point to attempt to place them in a Submission. The creature must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a failure, the creature is placed in one of the following Submissions of your choice:

- Limb-lock: Both you and the creature go Prone as you wrap your appendages around one of the creature's limbs, applying enough pressure to crush its bones and bend its flesh. As the creature is placed into this Submission and as an action on each of your following turns, you can cause damage to the creature equal to one roll of its Hit Die + your Strength modifier. A creature can make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC at the end of each of its turns to escape this Submission. On a success, both the Submission and the grapple end.

- Spine-splitter: You lift or trip the creature and maneuver its body to slam it into the ground on the most essential part of its physical structure. The creature takes 4d8 bludgeoning damage and suffers from a movement speed reduction of 15 feet as well as -1 AC until the end of your next turn. The grapple ends immediately after this Submission's effects are applied. The damage from Spine-splitter increases to 6d8 at 10th level and 8d8 at 15th level.

Additionally, you gain two skill proficiencies of your choice.

Crimson Tiger Form

At 11th level, you gain the means to perform devastating kicks.

When making an unarmed strike, you can perform a hard-hitting kick by taking -2 to your attack roll and +5 to your damage roll.
Additionally, if you hit a target with an unarmed strike on your turn, you may spend 1 ki point and use a bonus action to perform a two-legged kick. This can take the form of a dropkick or a horse kick, and is treated as an unarmed strike with a +7 bonus to the damage roll. You may reroll the damage if you get a 1 on the dice roll. The target is also knocked back 10 ft in a straight line in a direction of your choosing that isn't towards you. If the target is Huge, the knockback is only 5 ft, and if the target is larger than Huge, they do not suffer knockback from this attack.

Also, you gain a new Style-Strike option that you may use with your Backalley Beatdown feature:

- Knockout Punch: You unleash a fast, efficient and brutal hook that could put a giant to sleep. If the attack hits, you gain a +5 bonus to the damage roll and the target must make a Consitution saving throw against your Ki save DC or be stunned until the end of your next turn.

Additionally, choose one skill you are already proficient with. You may double your proficiency bonus for that skill (expertise).

The Showstopper

At 17th level, you have become a rabid dog in battle. Your time as a Pitdog has paid off in practice of developing your martial arts skills and becoming more and more formidable as time goes on. You have developed your personal signature technique called a Magnum Opus.

- Magnum Opus: As an action on your turn, you can spend 3 ki points and perform a highly-developed and combat-tested technique unique to yourself. In retaliation to this destructive technique, the target must make a Constitution saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a failure, the target is knocked unconscious. On a success, the target does not fall unconscious but suffers 10d10 bludgeoning damage.

Additionally, you gain resistance to physical damage from all sources. (Bludgeoning, piercing, slashing)
