Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who walk the Path of the Void are warriors who have perfected their abilities to nullify magic and can manipulate space around them at their will. These barbarians usually have a ceaseless hunger for battle, and an unbreakable anger, which makes them erratic, irrational, and extremely dangerous warriors.

You can choose the origin of your extraplanar might or determine it by rolling on the Origin of the Void table.

Origin of the Void

1d4 Origin
  1. You were born in another plane, in a place of nothingness between dimensions known as the void.
  2. You are descended from an archdruid from the circle of stars.
  3. Shamans from your clan worship an elder entity from “the night sky” that has bestowed the tribe with powers in battle beyond normal human capabilities.
  4. You are the earthly vessel of an otherworldly patron, elder demigod, or powerful entity from another plane that fuels you and allows you to follow this path

Gravitational Instability

Starting at 3 level, you emanate an aura that bends space and shifts gravity around you while you rage. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, even through total cover. Once per turn, as a bonus action, you can activate the aura’s effects; hostile creatures sized Large or smaller within 10 feet of you must make a Strength saving throw or be pulled 5 feet toward you. Additionally, on a failed save, enemies that end their turn within 5 feet of you take bludgeoning damage equal to your Barbarian level. The DC for this feature equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.

Embodiment of Dark Energy

Starting at 6 level, you learn to augment your abilities to nullify magic. While raging, if you are affected by a spell or magical effect that allows you to repeat a saving throw to end its effects, you can add your Strength modifier (minimum of 1) to the roll.

Additionally, the pulling aura from your gravitational instability feature receives an improvement. Your aura counts as difficult terrain to hostile creatures while you rage.

Vacuum of Nothingness

Starting at 10 level, you can bend space and create portals to reach creatures. While you are raging, using an action, you can create a jet-black portal on a point you can see located within 40 feet of you. In doing so, you attempt to grapple a creature within range and pull it to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses after completing a long rest.

Additionally, when your rage ends, you are considered to be under the effects of a nondetection spell. This effect lasts one hour after the rage ends or until you enter rage again.

Breach into the Void

Starting at 14 level, the void-infused aura you cast receives its last augmentation. While you are raging the radius of your gravitational instability, your aura increases by 5 feet.

Additionally, when a Huge or smaller creature within the aura fails its Strength saving throw and is pulled toward you, you can use your reaction to extend an ethereal tendril made of dark void energy. The target gets engulfed by your aura and is banished into a personal, oblivious demiplane. You can only have one creature at a time affected by this feature. At the start of your next turn, the creature returns and gets launched in a straight line to an unoccupied space 20 feet away from you, in the direction you are facing, and falls prone. A creature can leave this demiplane earlier by using magic that enables planar travel, such as plane shift.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
