Base Class: Monk
A monk who follows the way of the Metal Self, has bonded so much with metal that even their foes must be wary when wielding any weapon forged of metal against them, because as soon as they choose to fight, any weapon, whether or not, the monk is wielding it, is an extension of the monks will.
One with Metal
AT 3rd level, When you take the attack action, you can instead of making an attack, attack with metal conjured from your body. These shards are treated as weapons that your a proficient with and have the finesse and thrown property have a short range of 20 + (PB x 5) and no long range. The damage it deals is equal to 1 roll of your martial arts die + your dexterity modifier.
These weapons shatter after you hit or miss with your attack, and begin breaking down to dust.
Steel Soul
As a reaction, whenever you are hit with a melee attack that was made using a weapon made of metal, you can spend one ki point and reduce that damage by a roll of your martial arts die + your wisdom modifier. If you reduce this damage to zero or lower, you can cause the weapon to bend back at the attacker, dealing any carry over damage from reducing it to below zero, plus a roll of you martial arts die + wisdom.
Iron Fists
At 6th level, Your unarmed attacks and metal shard attacks gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls.
In addition you can now use your metal shard attack instead of an unarmed attack for your martial arts or flurry of blows feature.
Further more, when you hit with a metal shard attack, you can expend a number of ki points up to your proficiency bonus to add an additional dice to the damage equal to the number of ki points expended. These dice are the same size as your martial arts die.
Mineral Manipulation
You learn the mage hand cantrip, but it is invisible and can only interact with metals.
In addition, as an action you can expend a number of ki points up to your proficiency bonus to manipulate metal objects within 30 ft.
For 1 ki point you can manipulate up to small objects, 2 medium, 3 large and 4 huge.
You can manipulate them in the following ways -
- For the next 10 minutes can move the object, it has a movement speed of 30ft flying speed and can hover
- You can project the object at an enemy, dealing damage equal to a number of your martial arts die + wisdom modifier + PB per ki point expended
- You can crush the object dealing an amount of damage equal to your monk level + wisdom modifier + a number of martial art die equal to the ki points expeneded
Forged Retribution
At 11th level, As a reaction, if a weapon attack made with a weapon made of metal misses you, you can use 1 ki point and your reaction to make a unarmed strike against the attacker, dealing the normal damage of an unarmed attack + the damage dice of that weapon. If your attack misses they take half damage.
