Base Class: Barbarian
For some barbarians, rage is a means to an end – that end being violence. As you enter your rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being. The savage warriors known as berserkers live for the chaos of battle. For these barbarians, their Rage is a manifestation of their lust for violence and destruction. Often found on the front lines of battle, berserkers only feel fully alive when they are risking life and limb to test their might against their foes.
Frenzied Rage
At 3rd level, you can go into a frenzy during battle, putting the viciousness of your anger and the potency of your strength on full display. Your Rage provides you further benefits for its duration:
- You can make a single Unarmed Strike or weapon attack as a bonus action on each of your turns, including the bonus action you used to enter a rage. This must be a Reckless Attack.
- Once per turn when you make a Reckless Attack against a creature and hit, you can roll a number of d6s equal to your Rage Damage bonus and add them to your damage roll, in place of your normal Rage Damage bonus.
- Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
Intimidating Assault
At 3rd level, you become proficient with the Intimidation skill if you were not already. You also gain a bonus to any ability check you make with this skill equal to your Strength modifier.
Also at this level, as an action, you can force a single creature of your choice within 30 feet of you—or 60 feet of you if your Rage is active—to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier), provided the creature isn’t behind Total Cover. On a failed save, the creature becomes Frightened of you for 1 minute. While frightened of you in this way the targets speed is reduced by a number of feet equal to 5 x your Rage Damage bonus while you're not incapacitated and are within the targets line of sight. The targeted creature repeats it's saving throw at the end of each of it's turns, ending this effect early on a success.
You can use this ability twice at 3rd level, and gain additional uses as you gain levels in this class: three times at 5th level, four times at 9th level, five times at 13th level, and 6 times at 17th level. You regain all expended uses of this ability at the end of your next long rest.
Mindless Rage
Beginning at 6th level, your anger hardens your mind with violent resolve. While raging you cannot be Charmed or Frightened. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, that condition is immediately ended.
Fierce Retaliation
Beginning at 10th level when you take damage from a creature that is within reach of a weapon you are wielding, you can use your reaction to make one Unarmed Strike or weapon attack against that creature. This must me a Reckless Attack.
If the triggering attack would reduce you to 0 hit points or less, you make this attack before applying the damage you take.
Terrorizing Presence
At 14th level those who bear witness to your savage performance are stabbed with panic at the sight of you. Whenever you use your Intimidating Assault feature, you can target each creature of your choice within range, rather than a single creature. Also, the reduction to a targets speed now apply to any creature that fails its saving throw even if that creature cannot be Frightened. All other rules for that feature still apply.
