Bard
Base Class: Bard

Culinary bards turn to food as their performing art; after all, the connection between emotions and memories to scents and flavors is a powerful one. Combining their extensive knowledge of flavors, aroma, presentation, texture, and their innate talent, culinary bards are masters of wielding cooking as an artistic force. Given enough funds and time, a culinary bard is a great asset for boosting morale just before a battle. However, the best of the best can be distinguished by utilizing what they have and can find, as well as their creativity.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Culinary arts at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with cook's utensils. If you are already proficient with cook's utensils, gain expertise instead.

Talented Cook

At 3rd level, you can spend a bardic inspiration dice to cook a meal during a short or long rest. Those that eat their fill of your food gain an inspiration dice that they can use within the next 2 hours. On top of that, each person that eats your food gains temporary hp equal to your charisma modifier (minimum of 1) per every 2 levels in bard.

Master of Aromas

At 6th level, you're able to develop a keen sense of smell that you can use to find ingredients, as well as perfect the fragrances of your dish. You gain proficiency in survival checks when sniffing out ingredients, and gain advantage when doing so if you are already proficient in survival. Additionally, whenever you succeed on cooking a dish by 5 or more, you unlock the full potential of the flavor of your dish. It gains one of the following effects for the next 30 minutes, depending on the ingredients used:

Soothing: Allies who have eaten your food gain advantage on wisdom saves, and gets +2 to any wisdom check as their mind is cleared and their focus becomes sharpened.

Numbing: Allies who have eaten your food gain advantage against constitution saves, and take 2 less damage from every attack until the beginning of the turn after they get attacked.

Savory: Allies who have eaten your food get a +1 to hit and +2 to damage for 3 turns, as your food emboldens them to savor the joys and comforts of living another day.

Spicy: Allies who have eaten your food gain an extra 15 feet of movement speed, as well as advantage on melee attacks and an extra melee attack per turn, but also have disadvantage on concentration saves and wisdom saves as the pain throws them into a fight-or-flight mode.

Refreshing: Allies who have eaten your food recover a point of exhaustion, as well as recovering HP equal to 2d6 + your charisma modifier.

If you have multiple flavor-defining ingredients, you may specify which effect is selected by succeeding by 8 or more. Otherwise, one of the effects is selected at random.

Breakfast of Champions

At 14th level, if you cook a meal during a long rest and choose to burn double the amount of ingredients that are necessary, allies who have eaten your meal gain 3 bardic inspiration dice instead of 1, and get the following effect:

Foodie's Gusto: For the next 2 hours, gain half of your movement speed, +1 AC, +2 to dexterity and constitution saves, and an extra action for the next three turns that can only be used to either attack, dash, or use an object. After the end of this effect, the person effected gains a level of exhaustion until they eat a food that has been produced with a roll of 13 or higher.
