Base Class: Artificer
Command the souls of the damned to infuse with corpses to reanimate into horrifying bestial or grotesque soldiers under your command. Use your Forging Focus and your Forge Points to enhance particular parts of your servants to better suit your circumstances, and create an army that will bend your foes to your will!

Forge
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, gain the ability to Forge. You may spend one hour performing a ritual on an intact humanoid corpse. Upon completing your ritual, the corpse is infused with a damned soul, and contorts into a strange and demonic form as willed by you. You determine the shape and form of the Night Creature you create, as long as it remains the same size as the corpse. It is impossible to create exact copies of existing things, as the body twists and contorts chaotically, so you can create a cuboid Night Creature, but not an exact replica of someone you know.
You may have up to two (2) Night Creatures under your command at any one time. If you would gain another, choose one currently under your control to kill. When a Night Creature is killed, the soul returns to Hell, but the strange and contorted body remains. Night Creatures follow your verbal commands to the best of their ability with no regard for their own safety or the safety of others. Night Creatures remain alive no matter the distance between them and their creator, as long as they remain under the maximum Night Creature limit.

Forge Modifiers
Starting at 3rd level, choose 2 Forge Modifiers you can choose from. Each time you level up, you may replace any known Forge Modifier with another Forge Modifier from the list. When you reach 6th and 10th level, you may choose two additional Forge Modifiers.
You gain 2 Forge Points that replenish after a long rest. When you Forge, allocate any Forge Points to any of the following effects, and apply them to the stat block of your Night Creature (the appearance of your night creature will change based on these effects).
Breath Weapon
2pts: Your Night Creature gains a Breath Weapon of your choice from the Dragonborn Breath Weapon list (Acid, Lightning, Fire, Poison, Cold). When your Night Creature uses its breath weapon, follow the Dragonborn's Breath Weapon mechanics.
You may apply this modifier multiple times.
Charm
Once per Short Rest, the Night Creature targets one humanoid it can see within 30 feet of it. If the target can see the Night Creature, the target must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw against this magic or be charmed by the Night Creature. The charmed target regards the Night Creature as a trusted friend to be heeded and protected. Although the target isn’t under the Night Creature's control, it takes the Night Creature's requests or actions in the most favorable way it can.
Each time the Night Creature or the Night Creature's companions do anything harmful to the target, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. Otherwise, the effect lasts 24 hours or until the Night Creature is destroyed, is on a different plane of existence than the target, or takes a bonus action to end the effect.
Enhanced Attack
1pt: Increase the attack bonus of your Night Creature by +1, and their damage by 1d4. You may apply this modifier multiple times.
Enhanced Attributes
1pt: Increase all base attributes of your Night Creature by 1. You may apply this modifier multiple times, though it may not increase an attribute above 20. EDIT NOT SURE ABOUT THIS OR PLUS 2 TO AN INDIVIDUAL ONE.
Enhanced Durability
1pt: Increase the AC of your Night Creature by 2 and the HP value by 1 Hit Die. You may apply this modifier multiple times.
Enhanced Speed
1pt: Increase the movement speed of your Night Creature by +5 ft. You may apply this modifier multiple times.
Flight
1pt: Your Nightcreature gains a Flight Speed of 30ft, plus any additional speed granted by the "Enhanced Speed" Forge Modifier.
Frightful Presence
As an action, each creature of the Night Creature's choice that is within 60 ft. of the Night Creature and aware of it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Night Creature's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Full Feats
1pt: Your Night Creature gains one feat of your choice. You may apply this modifier multiple times.
Half-Feats
1pt: Give your Night Creature one Half-Feat (A Half-Feat is a feat that also grants an attribute score increase). You may apply this modifier multiple times.
Legendary Action
Gain this modifier automatically:
2pts: Grant your Night Creature 1 use of a Legendary Action per short rest. This modifier may be taken multiple times.
Your Night Creature may perform any of the following Legendary Actions:
Attack: Your Night Creature makes a basic attack.
Move: Your Night Creature moves up to its Movement Speed.
Perform Ability: Your Night Creature performs some ability or action granted to it by another Forge Modifier.
Legendary Resistance
1pt: Your Nightcreature gains one use of Legendary Resistance per long rest. You may apply this modifier multiple times.
Spellcaster
1pt: Your Night Creature becomes a 4th level spellcaster with access to the entire Wizard Spell list. It is assumed to have each known spell prepared.
Demonic Interpose
If you are in control of a Night Creature that is within 10ft of yourself or an ally being attacked, you may spend a Forge Point to reduce the damage by 1d6.
Fiendish Kindness
At level 10, your name becomes known in the outer planes. Many lost souls admire you for giving them even temporary reprieve from the suffering they endure. Demonic creatures tend to like you without you doing anything, and some of the lower level ones will even attempt to do favors for you in the hopes that you’ll take them from their suffering.
Mental Link
You are now able to communicate with your Night Creatures telepathically at any range, as long as you are on the same plane. They are able to respond to you in kind.
Mental Connection
You are able to see and hear through any or all of your Night Creatures' senses at the same time.
Decimated Corpses
You may use corpses to create Night Creatures that are missing limbs, as long as the majority of their body mass is there.
Forgemaster
Double the starting stats of all of your Night Creatures. In addition, double the effectiveness of any Forge Modifiers you apply to them.
