Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Diviner Wizards study very exacting formulas to be able to scan the threads of fate and determine possible outcomes, and generally glean information from the universe at large. Most sorcerers cannot begin to replicate this kind of focus, and their usage of divination is often limited to what spells they gain knowledge of, with few other abilities to help in these ways. However, some sorcerers open their minds to the universe almost literally, manifesting the spark of psionics in such a way that they become receptive to this new information. Often these are not sagely divining wizards, but rather wild-eyed prophets with magical skills to further enhance their capability, who may originate from any walk of life. While this gift is exceedingly rare, the Claisentient Souls always seem to have an important destiny, bearing tidings of the future for good or for ill, and using their great magical ability to affect the future they might foresee.

Clarsentient Souls may also be those who possess impressive minds for computation, who can whittle together probabilities and likelihoods of the outcomes of any given situation in mere moments of thought. These peoples may have not had some great revelatory experience of prophesy, except that their hunch for the most likely outcome tends to become the actual outcome so much more often than not. Whether through the possession of a prodigal mind for statistical analysis on the fly, or through a more "divine feeling" of inspiration, these psionics are those capable of getting information of all kinds out of the universe at large.

Psionic Power

1st-level Clairsentient Soul feature

You harbor a wellspring of psionic energy within yourself. This energy is represented by your Psionic Energy dice, which are each a d6. You have a number of these dice equal to twice your proficiency bonus, and they fuel various psionic powers you have, which are detailed below.

Some of your powers expend the Psionic Energy die they use, as specified in a power’s description, and you can’t use a power if it requires you to use a die when your dice are all expended. You regain all your expended Psionic Energy dice when you finish a long rest. In addition, as a bonus action, you can regain one expended Psionic Energy die, but you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

When you reach certain levels in this class, the size of your Psionic Energy dice increases: at 5th level (d8), 11th level (d10), and 17th level (d12). The powers below use your Psionic Energy dice.

Psionic Cantrip. Whenever you deal damage with a cantrip you cast, you may roll and expend a Psionic Energy die, and add that number + your Charisma modifier damage to one target of that cantrip in a type of damage that cantrip deals.

Psionic Moment of Inspiration. As an action, roll a Psionic Energy die and choose a Divination spell from any spell list that you possess spell levels to cast. You are treated as if you know that spell for a number of minutes equal to the number rolled. You may use this power once before you must finish a long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to use it again.

Share Senses. You can use your action to touch a willing humanoid and perceive through its senses for a time. As long as the creature is on the same plane of existence as you, you can use your action on subsequent turns to maintain this connection, extending the duration until the end of your next turn. While perceiving through the other creature's senses, you benefit from any special senses possessed by that creature, and you are blinded and deafened to your own surroundings. Also while perceiving through the other creature's senses, you can roll and expend a Psionic Energy die as a bonus action, and the creature gains a bonus to their next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw equal to the number rolled for the next 1 minute. You may use this power once before you must finish a long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to use it again.

Foresighted

1st-level Clairsentient Soul feature

At 1st level when you choose this origin, you have unlocked in your mind one of two methodologies for gleaning far more knowledge from the universe. You may choose one of the following benefits:
Calculating Insight. Your mind is gifted with a natural situational awareness which includes rapid statistical analysis for the probability of various outcomes. You gain proficiency in Arcana and you have advantage on any roll regarding the use of mathematics. Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you may choose to learn any Divination or Transmutation spell from any classes' spell lists.
Divine Insight. Whether some divine entity has chosen to share insights with you, or you seemingly randomly receive insights from the great beyond, you are blessed with new knowledge. You gain proficiency in Religion and you have advantage on Insight rolls. Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you may choose to learn any Divination or Abjuration spell from any classes' spell lists.

Manifested Destiny

6th-level Clairsentient Soul feature

At 6th level in this class, you have gained a phenomenal insight which allows you to affect the outcomes of the realities you see far more easily. You gain the following powers:

Insightful Wit. As a bonus action, you can expend a Psionic Energy die and roll it. Choose a Divination cantrip you know or Divination spell you know with spell level less than or equal to the number rolled on the die, and cast that spell (expending spell slots as normal) as part of this bonus action.

Psionic Detect Thoughts. You learn and can cast the Detect Thoughts spell, without material components, and without expending a spell slot once before you must finish a short or long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to cast it this way again.

Psionic Fortune's Favor. You learn and can cast the Fortune's Favor spell, without material components, and without expending a spell slot once before you must finish a short or long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to cast it this way again.

Additionally, whenever you finish a long rest, you roll two d20 dice and record the numbers rolled. Whenever a creature within 30 feet of you would make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can use your reaction to cause that roll to have the value of one of the two numbers you rolled. Once you have used one of these numbers rolled in this way, it cannot be used again. You can use this feature twice before you must finish a long rest to use it again.

Superior Assessment

14th-level Clairsentient Soul feature

At 14th level in this class, you develop astonishing gifts to glean information, learning almost anything you may need in moments, past, present, or maybe even about the future. You gain the following powers:

Psionic Divination. You learn and can cast the Divination spell, without the need for material components and without expending a spell slot once before you must finish a short or long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to cast it this way again.

Psionic Eye. You learn and can cast the Arcane Eye spell, without the need for material components and without expending a spell slot once before you must finish a short or long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to cast it this way again.

Psionic Legend Lore. You learn and can cast the Legend Lore spell, without the need for material components and without expending a spell slot once before you must finish a short or long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to cast it this way again.

Lastly, you gain a benefit based on which option you chose for your Foresighted feature, as follows:
Calculating Insight. You learn the Skill Empowerment spell.
Divine Insight. You learn the Scrying spell and when you cast it you do not require material components.

True Clairsentience

18th-level Clairsentient Soul feature

At 18th level, you have developed astonishing prophetic insights. You almost always know what happens next when you're focused on the moment, and you easily see all things as they are. You learn the True Seeing spell and can cast it once without material components and without expending a spell slot before you must finish a short or long rest or expend a Psionic Energy die to cast it this way again.

Additionally, you cannot be surprised, and whenever you or a creature within 30 feet of you attempts an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can expend a Psionic Energy die to cause that roll to be made with your choice of advantage or disadvantage. You may use this feature no more times than your Charisma modifier (minimum 1) before the beginning of your next turn.

Lastly, when you use the Flexible Casting option of your Font of Magic feature, you can also spend 3 sorcery points to restore one spent Psionic Energy die.
