Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

For some barbarians, rage is a means to an end—that end being violence. The Path of the Berserker is a path of untrammeled fury, slick with blood. As you enter the berserker’s rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being.

Originally an exhaustive means of cutting through the opposition, the barbarians of today have overcome this weakness, adapting their own bodies to conditions far beyond what could be taken previously. They are terrifying forces that influence the battlefield wherever they may go, and to oppose them will most certainly not end in your favor.

Frenzied Rage

3rd-level Path of the Berserker feature

You can go into a frenzy in battle. If you use Reckless Attack while your Rage is active, you deal extra damage to the first target you hit on your turn with a Strength-based attack. To determine the extra damage, roll a number of d6s equal to your Rage Damage bonus, and add them together. The damage has the same type as the weapon or Unarmed Strike used for the attack.

Additionally, your critical hit range is now 19-20.

Terrifying Fury

6th-level Path of the Berserker feature

Beginning at 6th level, as part of your bonus action to enter your frenzied rage, you can let out a deafening cry within 60 feet of you. Choose a number of creatures in range, those creatures must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus), becoming frightened of you on a failure. You can use your action to extend the duration of this effect each turn. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns or if it no longer has line of sight of you, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful, the creature is immune to this feature for the next 24 hours.

Additionally, when you make a Charisma (Intimidation) check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of +1).

Mindless Anger

6th-level Path of the Berserker feature

Also at 6th level, you can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the condition is removed.

Retaliation

10th-level Path of the Berserker feature

Starting at 10th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within reach of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.

Fanatic Frenzy

14th-level Path of the Berserker feature

At 14th level, whenever you critically hit with a melee weapon attack, you gain temporary hit points equal to your barbarian level.

Additionally, whenever you critically hit with a melee weapon attack against a target that is frightened of you, you deal maximum damage instead of rolling.

Your critical hit range is now 18-20.
