Base Class: Bard
To perform is one thing, but what if your entire being was a performance? To have a persona outside of yourself and to make that persona your entire being. That is what being an Idol teaches you.
Idols channel their magic through their performance of playing as their “persona”. To an idol, their persona is a separate identity and might as well be a separate person to the world. Their way of performing is not by any means just in the traditional sense but rather roleplaying as this separate identity.
Popular Persona
Upon choosing College of Idol, you gain your persona. You may choose and describe it however you see them. While you are in your persona, the following is in effect:
Idolized Presence - You have disadvantage on stealth and sleight of hands checks, however you gain advantage on Persuasion, Deception, and Performance checks.
Double Life - Once per long rest you can use an action to fully embody your persona, treating them as another form/separate person. The persona has hit points equal to your bard level + proficiency modifier + charisma stat. Whenever you take damage, the persona takes the damage instead. If this damage reduces the persona to 0 hit points, you take any remaining damage. While you the persona is up, you have advantage on WIS, INT, and CHA saving throws. The persona regain back all their hit points during a long rest, during a short rest you can roll your hit die to restore your persona.
Self-Inspired
You attempt to re-inspire your persona. Roll an inspiration die as a bonus action and regain your hit point for your persona equal to the roll + your charisma modifier.
Sponsorship
Once per long rest as an action you call a sponsor, roll a d20 and get a random common consumable.
Persistent Performance
As long as your persona is up, you can now cast a spell as a bonus action even if you casted during your action. Also where a target provokes an opportunity attack you can use your reaction to cast a spell at the creature, rather than making an opportunity attack.
Fueled By
You call in your sponsor for help- once per long rest you can use an action to roll a d20 to get an uncommon - rare magical consumable item form in your hand.
We Are One
You come to terms more with your persona, losing a sense of separation - when you activate your persona you gain temp hit points equal to half of your hit points. When you take damage the temp hit takes the damage before the persona.
