Base Class: Monk
Monks of Summer Winds seek to learn compassion and self-exaltation through new experiences and sensations. They look beyond the surface to see hidden realities, finding joy in mastering the arts and seeking out simple pleasures.
Summer Winds Technique
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn to manipulate an enemy's pressure points to cause debilitating effects. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
- The creature must make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, until the end of its next turn it is blinded or deafened (your choice).
- The creature must make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, until the end of its next turn its speed becomes 0 and it can't benefit from any bonus to its speed.
- The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. If it fails, until the end of its next turn, the creature is charmed.
Exalting Experiences
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with one skill or musical instrument of your choice.
Lingering Winds
At 6th level, whenever you afflict a creature with a condition using your Summer Winds Technique, you can spend 1 ki point to extend the duration for an additional round.
Sheltering Zephyr's Embrace
At 11th level, you gain resistance to cold and fire damage.
Ten Thousand Caresses
At 17th level, your attacks can disrupt your opponent's ki even when the attacks don't strike home. If you miss a creature with an attack roll, as a bonus action, you can spend 1 to 10 ki points. The creature must make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, it is paralyzed for 1 round per ki point spent.
