Base Class: Rogue
The Copycat can mimic the fighting prowess of others. Starting at 3rd level you gain three CC points, Mimicry, a tool proficiency, proficiency with insight, and an extra language.
CC Points
3rd-level Copycat feature
Watching the field of combat has gained you insight into the various skills you've seen used around you. You have access to copycat points that can be used for other copycat abilities. You gain 1 copycat point per level and regain them on a long rest. At 17th level, you gain access to CC Master.
Mimicry
3rd-level Copycat feature
With the numerous enemies you’ve faced, you’ve learned to mimic strikes with weapons you aren’t normally proficient with. At 3rd level, you can spend one copycat point to become proficient with all weapons you’ve previously seen used, for 1 minute. At 9th level, you gain access to Greater Mimicry. Additionally, at 7th level, you gain an extra attack.
You may also choose a single weapon to bestow the finesse property onto. You can only give finesse to a single weapon at a time and only once per long rest.
Greater Mimicry
9th-level Copycat feature
After mimicking the attacks of others for so long, you’ve now learned to avoid certain blows. You can now spend two CC points and a reaction to impose disadvantage against an attacker who seeks to harm you.
Shadow Boxing
9th-level Copycat feature
Your abilities to copy attacks have transcended to not only being able to copy their form but also the force behind them. At 9th level, you gain advantage on your next attack when using mimicry. Additionally, when you score a critical hit, you can spend three copycat points to attempt to disarm them, if you have a free hand you steal that weapon. Use opposing dex checks. This weapon is treated as having finesse for 1 minute. At 13th level gain access to Advanced Shadow Boxing.
Advanced Shadow Boxing
13th-level Copycat feature
With greater control of your shadow boxing ability, you’ve learned to not only copy melee attacks but also physical ranged attacks. You can now spend four CC points to copy ranged attacks with all their force like arrows, javelins, darts, rocks, etc. Your shadow turns into the projectile that hit you on your previous turn and launches at a target of your choosing with advantage and causing disadvantage on their next attack.
Spell Plagiarizer
13th-level Copycat feature
Your ability to copy and steal is no longer limited to physical attacks. Your mind and body can now mimic even magic. Starting at 13th level you can spend a reaction and CC Points equal to the spell's level to decipher a spell being cast and store a single use of said spell for your next turn. (Spells can only be held for a single turn, unless they are a reaction spell, and you may only store a single spell at a time.) The level of spell you can copy depends on your level. (13th, 4th level. 15th, 5th level. 17th, 6th level. 19th, 7th level.) (Spell attack modifier would be Charisma.)
CC Master
17th-level Copycat feature
You’ve become efficient with the abilities of others, to such an incredible level. You now replenish half of your CC points on a short rest.
Carbon Copy
17th-level Copycat feature
You’ve mastered mimicry to such an extent that you’ve become indistinguishable from the target of your mimicry. Starting at 17th level you may spend six CC points to transform into a perfect copy of an ally or an opponent you’ve previously defeated for a minute. (This is considered a concentration ability, and you're unable to turn into the same being more than once per long rest, you may also increase the length of the transformation by using more CC points, 1 hour per point used.)
