Banneret of Aphrodite

The Banneret, also known as the Battle Standard Bearer, is a noble warrior who leads from the front lines, inspiring their allies with the presence of their banner. They excel at providing support and bolstering their comrades' abilities through their commanding presence and the power of their chosen standard.

The Banneret Fighter subclass focuses on empowering and supporting allies through the use of a banner or flag. With a mix of inspiring presence, tactical command, and powerful banner abilities, the Banneret is a valuable support option on the battlefield, bolstering the effectiveness and resilience of their comrades.

Inspiring Banner

3rd-level Banneret of Aphrodite feature

You gain the ability to wield an inspiring banner. The banner can be physical or ethereal, but requires one hand to carry and wield. As an action, you can unfurl your banner, planting it in the ground or displaying it prominently. As long as you hold it or are within 5 feet of it, the banner emboldens allies of your choice, up to a number equal to your proficiency bonus, within 30 feet of it. The chosen allies gain the following benefits:

• Affected creatures within range gain a bonus to their saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1).
• Affected creatures within range gain temporary hit points equal to your fighter level at the start of their turn as long as they are not at full hit points. These temporary hit points last until the start of their next turn.

The banner can be picked up or stowed as a bonus action, ending the effect. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Battlefield Command

3rd-level Banneret of Aphrodite feature

You gain the ability to direct your allies' attacks and strategies with tactical precision. When a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see misses with a weapon attack or fails an ability check, you can use your reaction to allow them to reroll the attack roll or ability check and choose either result. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Banner Techniques

7th-level Banneret of Aphrodite feature

You learn special techniques to enhance the abilities of your banner. You can choose one of the these options, and you gain an additional option at 15th level.

Inspiring Presence

While your banner is displayed, affected allies within its range also have advantage on Wisdom saving throws.

Resolute Defense

While your banner is displayed, affected allies within its range also gain a bonus to AC equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1).

Standard Bearer's Rally

10th-level Banneret of Aphrodite feature

Your rallying presence and the power of your banner can rejuvenate your allies. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Second Wind feature to restore hit points to yourself and all allies of your choice within 30 feet of your banner. Each creature regains hit points equal to your fighter level plus your Charisma modifier. In addition, until the start of your next turn, affected creatures gain advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

War Standard Mastery

15th-level Banneret of Aphrodite feature

Your mastery over your banner reaches its peak. You gain an additional option from the Banner Techniques feature. Additionally, the range of your banner's benefits increases to 60 feet.

Banner of Triumph

18th-level Banneret of Aphrodite feature

Your banner becomes a beacon of victory and inspiration. When you use your action to activate your Inspiring Banner, you can unfurl your banner with great fanfare, activating its ultimate power. All affected creatures within the banner's range gain the following benefits for 1 minute:

• Advantage on all attack rolls and saving throws.
• Resistance to all damage.
• Once per turn, when an ally within range deals damage with a weapon attack, they regain hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
