Base Class: Paladin
Heroes know their calling, and the Oath of Altruism calls out to those selfless heroes who put protection of the meek above all else. Followers of this Oath, are truly selfless protectors, who risk their own lives and would willfully die to protector those they care for. Paladins of this oath are not looking for glory and often align themselves with those seeking a greater purpose. They lend their shields and swords for the greater good of the goals of the team, before their own.

Channel Divinity
3rd-level Oath of Altruism feature
You gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.
Defensive Strike. When a friendly creature you can see is hit by an attack, you can spend use of Channel Divinity to project a surge of steadfast will into that creature - it immediately use its reaction to make one melee weapon attack, adding your Charisma modifier to both the attack and damage rolls.
Spiritual Shielding. When a friendly creature you can see is about to be hit by attack you can spend use of Channel Divinity to apply the effect of the Shield spell on it.
Aura of the Guardian
7th- and 18th-level Oath of Altruism feature
Starting at 7th level, you can shield others from harm at the cost of your own health. When a creature within 10 ft of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to magically take that damage, instead of that creature taking it. This feature doesn't transfer any other effects that might accompany the damage, and this damage can't be reduced in any way.
When you reach 18th level in this class, the range of the aura increases to 30 feet.
Take the Pain
15th-level Oath of Altruism feature
As a bonus action, you can exchange your current Hit Points with an ally within 60 feet of you that you can see. This can not bring them above their maximum Hit Points. Once you do this, you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your paladin level.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Exalted Protector
20th-level Oath of Altruism feature
You become a stalwart defender of those around you. As a bonus action, you grant the following benefits for 1 minute:
- You and friendly creatures within 30 feet of you are under the effects of the Bless spell and does not require concentration.
- You and all allies within 30 feet of you have advantage on all concentration checks.
- All allies within 30 feet of you have advantage on all death saving throws.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.
