Base Class: Sorcerer
Haunted Souls are sorcerers whose innate abilities draw malevolent spirits to them. Those who survive the ordeal form a symbiotic relationship, harnessing their power while having their soul slowly drained away.
Haunted Soul Origin Spells
1st-level Haunted Soul feature
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Haunted Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Spirit Visage
1st-level Haunted Soul feature
Your connection to the spirits within you allow you to strike fear in others. As a bonus action you can cause a creature within 60 feet that you can see to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, they are frightened for 1 minutes. While frightened this way their speed is halved.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Vengeful Spirits
6th-level Haunted Soul feature
You can send out your spirits to torment an area. As an action, you create a 20 foot cube of vengeful spirits in a space within 60 feet that you can see. Hostile creatures that start or end their turn inside must make a Charisma saving throw using your spell save DC, on a failure they take 1d8 + your sorcerer level necrotic damage and are blinded. On a success they take half damage and are not blinded.
As a bonus action you can move the vengeful spirits up to 30 feet on your turn.
Ghastly Protection
6th level Haunted Soul Feature
You are immune to the Frightened condition and can not be possessed.
Aspect of the Phantom
14th-level Haunted Soul feature
You gain the ability to take on the appearance and abilities of the spirits within. You can use a bonus action to spend 5 sorcery points to gain the following benefits:
- You gain a flight speed equal to your walking speed and can hover.
- You do not provoke opportunity attacks and can move through solid objects.
- You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage, and immunity to necrotic damage.
Once you use this feature you can not do so until you finish a long rest.
Siphon the Soul
18th-level Haunted Soul feature
The spirits within you become far more violent than before. You can spend a bonus action to cause creatures within the area of your Vengeful Spirits take 2d6 additional damage from any source. You can spend sorcery points to increase the damage by +1 per sorcery point spent. You gain Temporary Hit Points equal to the extra damage.
Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
